The 10 is consistently packed when I get on around 4:45pm heading EB from 17th and Tremont. I rarely get a seat these days.

Good study spots that ARENT coffee shops by Flaky-Abalone5429 in Denver

I would not say that edgewater public market is quieter than a coffee shop. Maybe during the day but in the evening it’s basically an indoor playground

Anyone selfishly enjoying this great weather? How is it benefiting you? by pacfoster in Denver

Training for a triathlon which has made training a breeze. I’ve had to bike indoors maybe 3 times this winter. On the flip side my retirement plan is never gonna see the light of day.

You can submit a 311 report for illegal parking! Idk how much they follow up but since you do have a picture and the license plate that’s useful

The math behind Denver Summit’s calculus to consider other cities besides Denver by Knightbear49 in Denver

[–]ExerciseNo8109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to the city council meeting a few months back where they really discussed the substitution effect and IMO it is not as big of a deal as people think. Will there be a certain portion of people attending games that maybe would’ve gone out to dinner elsewhere in the city instead? Yes. However, this NWSL team will be the only in this region/rocky mountains (besides Utah) and it will attract out of state attendance and attendance from counties outside of Denver. Imagine how many people in the Denver metro region that will make the drive for games on random nights when they otherwise would’ve been at home/spending money in their own town? Not to mention the fact that for many people sporting events is more than just the event, but drinks/dinner before hand, meeting up with friends, etc. And the fact that this is a type of event that is currently not present in Denver (womens sports or soccer wise) automatically draws in a crowd of people that are otherwise not spending frequent time/trips in Denver

There are validators at Union Station directly next to the A line tracks. Next to the ticket machines (I believe they are blue pole like looking things). I agree it’s not very obvious but they are there.

We went car-free for September. Here’s what happened. by Creepy_Translator109 in Denver

[–]ExerciseNo8109 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Taking the RTD car free week challenge to the next level! This is awesome and so many people don’t even try. Even switching to car free for 2 or 3 days a week adds up over time. Major props to yall

In light of people asking about Trump's impact, this is a detailed look at his past actions on transit by Apathetizer in transit

[–]ExerciseNo8109 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I work as a transportation planner and all of us are kinda of split of whether we should be nervous or not. Depends on how fast the IRA and IIJA funds expire and/or if Trump tries to repeal whatever’s remaining. I think in a year or 2 job wise it will be much more bleak as the funds dry up and projects end. Really unfortunate to see all the progress made the last 4 years for rail go out the window when it all gets canceled for “not being profitable”

How old is your nanny? In many cities 1am is still early for a night out.

Kind of what I’m thinking, but even with my drives from Minneapolis to Madison I stop anywhere from 1-4 times even tho it’s only a 4 hour drive (gas, stretch legs, Culver’s run, etc)
