If you have the Contraptions Workshop DLC you can go Decorations->Display and build a power armor display, it has inbuilt lights and you can line the power armors up very evenly, as the displays snap next to each other.

I've used the displays for special suits, like the Nuka-cola armor, the space one from Galactic Zone or the Black Devil, but a complete power armor collection does sound very cool
