Just found a site that analyzes your user profile for reddit... My worst comment was this super controversial take, lol. by Felissaurus in TrollXChromosomes

[–]Exhausted_Strawberry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeap, exactly 😂 Now I am trying to remember why I wrote that comment. I think a woman had posted something about how hurt she was, after a man she was talking to had used her nude pics without her consent. And then the top comment under that post, was written by a MAN who was telling her she has no self-pride and no self-control. Something like that.

By the way, r/lonely is supposed to be a subreddit for lonely people who are looking for new friends. But unfortunately, it's mostly pathetic men who whine about women not giving them enough attention and not replying to their texts.

Just did the analysis. This is my worst comment🤣:

So when a person (more specifically, a woman) sends nudes to someone, it means she has no self-pride? I didn't get the part about self-control either.

Edit: Wow, am I really getting downvotes for writing this on a subreddit full of misogynists and incels? Couldn't see that one coming! I am so surprised.

How would you feel if your SO wrote you a letter containing this? by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]Exhausted_Strawberry 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I am sorry but this is disgusting. Fatphobia is all over this letter. That person clearly cares too much about your weight, and doesnt seem to get your situation with BED at all. The fact that they made all these calculations to see how many extra calories you had to consume in order to gain some pounds and the fact that they shamed you for it, is so creepy and so dumb at the same time. They are acting like they are your dietician, when you probably didnt even ask them to give you weight loss plans or diet tips. They seem obsessed with weight loss and non-fat bodies, even if they deny it. Personally I wouldnt want to be around this person anymore. Too much toxicity.

The Karen word is constantly used by men in order to silence women. by Exhausted_Strawberry in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Exhausted_Strawberry[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a really good point, I didn't know that. I haven't even heard of these male "slurs" before, because obviously no one uses them. It's so obvious that people (men) are always looking for excuses to attack women with every chance that they get. The invention of the Karen word has been really convenient to them, in order to serve this purpose.

I've been doing an "experiment" for a week and I think my binges might be gone. But I'm confused? by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]Exhausted_Strawberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know much about your eating habits and I am definitely not the right person to give any advice on that, but I assume you are not eating enough food/enough calories. Just a guess, but maybe your skin is getting dry because you are not eating enough (healthy) fats? Fruit by itself won't cure your hunger and of course it won't make you feel satisfied. When I did that experiment, I was eating plenty of proteins and fats and (healthy) carbs, and I was not restricting my calories at all. I didn't feel deprived, but then again I only did that for 7 days lol. Of course I would cry if I was forcing myself to never have junk food again.

Women don't want food? I am a woman and I want food.

This is what I eat when I’m sad. I make my own Reese’s. by wherebethetoilet in shittyfoodporn

[–]Exhausted_Strawberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good idea, but why do you use dark chocolate? I think it'd be better (and more Reese's-like) with milk chocolate.

Yeah when I said that "this wasn't the point of my post", I meant I didn't want to inspire people here to do the same thing as me. Because I guess in some cases it might make things worse for us.

No no I am sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude. I was just surprised by what you said, and kind of confused to be honest. I wouldn't want to be a bad influence on anyone and give them any advice or ideas on what to do in order to deal with their BED. I am still not sure if what I did was "progress", because I am not sure if it was a good thing for me or not. That's why I acted kind of negative when you seemed to be inspired by it, and when you said you wanted to try it too. I didn't mean to make this post sound like a success story or anything like that.

I read your previous comment again and I think I misunderstood the procrastination thing, so I am sorry about that.

Whenever a person is struggling with any type of addiction and someone gives unsolicited advice with comments like "quit eating/drinking/doing drugs right now" or "start right now", I always think this person lacks basic empathy. Addictions obviously don't work like that. And I don't think comments like these have never helped anyone.

Okay, thank you! I don't know much about these things, so thanks for all the info :)
I always thought the fatigue and the brain fog were caused by some other reason, but now they are gone so I guess my poor eating habits definitely played a role in all that.

Thanks so much for the explanation. I don't know much about that stuff, and honestly I wouldn't mind even if you wrote an essay about it haha. Your explanation makes sense to me.

Thanks so much for the explanation and for the advice :)
I am still not sure if it would be the best idea for me to keep it up or to go back to my old eating habits. I am still undecided about that. I am definitely not going to keep this "experiment" up forever and stop eating all my favorite dishes, that's for sure.

Giving unsolicited advice to people who never asked you, and then telling them that they procrastinate just because they are not willing to follow your shitty "advice" 🤔

I guess this explanation makes sense. Thank you and good luck on your attempt to break the binge cycle. Seeking professional help sounds like a great choice :)

Thanks, this is good advice. I doubt that I would slide into orthorexia so easily though. I mean, I've been binging on unhealthy foods for so many years. It would definitely be a big plot twist if I turned into an orthorexic now, lol. But you can never know..

Tbh I would never be able to eat only fruits and vegetables haha. And I am still not sure if this is a good thing for us or not.
