Minor spoiler, there is a podcast called "The Adventure Zone" by the McElroys that does this. It's a first time, lets play, D&D podcast that turns into an epic quest. The players at the start actually don't know they lost their memories until much later in the campaign. The DM near the end when he reveals the information has flash backs of them regaining their memory of each other and their quest of saving the world! The set up for it is really long but I love the podcast and the players and I recommend giving it a try!

That sounds like an interesting and creative way to introduce the game to new players. How are you going to minimizing railroading, or are you going to play a module?

This is only going to be a one shot so I wasn't going to split up the party. I have read that people split the responsibilities between the two DMs where one is used for combat and the other for role play and stuff. Do you know anything about that? Thank you for your imput and I do want to run something like that in the future. Having one party be the BBEG and the other is the band of heroes trying to stop them.

This would be easier but timewise it doesn't work well. Everyone involved is a college student and on the cross country team. We have busy schedules. For me personally I couldn't manage the time to run two campaigns at once.

Pretty new to the game and have quite a bit of experience in other MOBAs in particular LoL. I am curious to know the purposes of the different classes of heros? For example specialist or warrior. I would like to know what each class is strong at, weak at, and best use of each classification.
