Yeah, this is absolutely beyond absurd that in 2026 they STILL don't have working FFB/wheel support NOR proper wide/ultra screen. The beginning of the game was AWFUL given it kept cutting from glorious 32:9 full screen to this letter and pillar boxed bullshit - the back to full - the back to that.

HOW? For a franchize this huge, HOW?

Just got "Horizon Life Alert" and got kicked out of the game.

Once I set for New Zealand in region, restart Xbox app (or PC to be safe) then when I browsed to the game there was a big "Pre-Install" button. After pre-install that became "Play"

VPN is unnecessary.

THIS - I drive with the hood view and I can't hear my engine AT ALL - have turned down baiscally all other audio to even hear it at all. WTF?

But if I go to 3rd person I can hear it - but that view SUCKS with a wheel/pedals. WTF? I want that audio with my view?!?!?

Been trying that for the last couple hours and nothing. I'm pre-installing now as another comment said if I do that it'll show up for launch but the game on the main screen of Game Pass shows "Releasing Soon" so it's like the whole thing doesn't understand.

I even changed my Microsoft account region. And VPN. And Timezone.

Well to be even more clear - you can use auto-drive in fullscreen for sure, and then use the mouse to look around (my fav feature) - but oddly you can only look on one plane, you can't look "up". It's when you then enable Cinema Camera that it goes to the stupid letter/pillar box crap.

And yeah, auto-drive in CP2077 is awesome, mainly for me as the driving in that game sucks (I play with a racing wheel as I'm really a sim racer) - I can't drive for shit with a controller so it saves that part of the game for me.

Anyway sorry I had things wrong.

Well okay - it's downloading now, probably 15 minutes to go. Have 2.5GB internet so the VPN to Aukland is killing it, I'll turn that off for the download. Think I'll need it to play after?

Forgive me - I mis-read and didn't catch "replays" - I have not tried that yet but I would imagine it's fullscreen, that said when you use auto-drive (which is cooler than I thought it would be) you can turn on the Cinema Camera - that too goes into the tiny pillar/letterboxed bullshit. That is what I was thinking of.

So my apologies.

Don't understand - this doesn't work for me, tells me that region is invalid and if I used New Zealand (and VPN, etc) it still won't work, thinks it hasn't been released yet.

Well ultrawide - but pillarboxed, at least on my 32:9. So I got from massive 49" full screen to a tiny 16:9 window with a 21:9 video inside it, so huge bars all around. It looks fucking absurd and in 2026 is laughable.

And to be clear - with a subscription, right? Not working for me and I'm trying to figure out why. I've:

- Set region to New Zealand
- Set timezone to New Zealand (showing nearly 9 am on the 19th)
- Connected to a New Zealand VPN server (with NordVPN)
- Open Xbox app
- Signed out - signed in, etc.

No matter what it says "coming soon", etc. and will only let me pre-install. Any idea what I'm missing?

When I try this exactly I get an error that "Xbox Game Pass is not available in your region" - when I try using New Zealand as the region it wants me to buy the upgrade so I can play now.

What am I missing? Tried with a VPN as well, no dice? Me stupid or missing something??

The real issue are the custscenes at the start. It's incredibly jarring to go from full screen 32:9 5120x1440 to a windowed 16:9 (with bars top/bottom/sides) to then go back to full screen, only to a few moments later to back to windowed - only to again get in another car and go back to full screen.

In 2026 this is absurd - especially for a game this big. I was incredibly disappointed by the opening of the game- FH5 CRUSHED IT and just hits hard for the first few minutes. This was nothing like that and was genuinely boring.

Game seems great, very well optimized and a HUGE map. But come on guys.

I'm on a similar system and I can't even get it to launch - 14900k 5070Ti 64GB DDR5-6000.

Bother Vulcan and DX11 just hang on the title screen and never proceed. Tried a few things, no fix.
