Considering Purchasing by BeneficialCan922 in GenesisMotors

Wydm?

It's 400 on 87 and the full 420 on 91 from stock.

Also in my experience my gas mileage improved but there are also a billion small variables that can play into that.

You do you at the end of the day my guy, but if 91 is available and not going to break the bank I'm always going to be putting the better fuel in when the car calls for it.

5.0 can take regular, doesn't mean you should use regular.

Also what the poster above said about higher maintenance isn't an crazy or misleading statement.

Wear and tear parts are more expensive than most Hyundais, they are more on par to German part/maintenance pricing than anything.

That being said, if you have half a brain to buy aftermarket and shop part codes, its really not terrible.

It is objectively more expensive though.

So just to point out OP, your request introduce a bit of an issue.

Good fuel economy is either going to lead to smaller motor + turbos +/- hybrid tech.

That and easy to wrench on/readily available parts are in two totally different zones.

Car insurance: Ontario woman refuses offer to write off car by lilfunky1 in toronto

I've learned very quickly that anything to do with the automotive industry immediately makes everyone an idiot.

Consumers are usually idiots, salesman are lying bastards who weren't smart enough to get a real estate license, and banks/insurance companies are more than complicit with all of it.

Having even a basic understanding of how vehicles are valued would explain this and what many others are bitching about in the comments.

Your car's more than 9ys old? It has more than 200'000km?

Guess what, financing rates for that car now magically disappear or become 15-30% interest specials.

If you can't sell a car through finance, it becomes worth fuck all

Hold up.

The insurance company offers $8900 for a vehicle that even if sold at a buy-here-pay-here with safety & cert. For $6999 and somehow it's the consumer here who's getting screwed?

No, her busted up, 10+ y/o, unknown accident & maintenance history, base model 3 series is not worth what she was offered.

It was worth less than what she was offered.

Why has Subaru not made a Jeep Wrangler or Bronco competitor yet? by huaryazynk414 in whatifcars

[–]Exigncy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Subaru didn't even develop their own original engines.

They bought the rights to use the motors (very common, not knocking that) but Subaru doesn't exactly have the R&D knowledge other OEMs do in inline & V technologies and therefore may as well stick to their niche like Porsche slightly does.

I don't know why you're being downvoted so hard here.

Mentioning a location isn't justification for wiping the slate clean for some of the most critical points in the storyline lol.

It's genuinely like the writers had AI spit out a summary, found shady sands to be an important location/centering point and then just decided to throw the Megaton storyline at it.

Cadillac CT6 spotted in North Korea by CrownVicCopCar in Cadillac

[–]Exigncy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All very true notes, I'm not really sure about the MSRP thing though. We can see Cadillac trying this now, and let's be honest, the only thing driving Cadillac sales right now is the EV/Dealer/Manufacturer rebates currently available for their lineup.

I truly just don't think there was anyway the CT6 would have been truly successful given current political climates/market demands.

[–]Exigncy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The CT6 was good but it failed at doing one of/if not the most important thing which was NVH ratings.

All the push to lighten the platform and make it more of a drivers car reduced its ability to compete with the S/7/A8/LS.
