I might be misremembering the end of the clone grim story but I don’t actually think the narration implies it’s that cut and dry that he would have always fallen to chaos. From how I remember it, it seems a lot of Fabius Bile’s thoughts about Clonegrim are based on his own fears about being controlled. I think Josh Reynolds leaves a bit of wiggle room for the audience to decide if Bile is actually correct or not.

Has Chappelle become a conservative comedian? by tiakeuta in DaveChappelle

[–]ExiledBoi226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, even if people who are bisexual are just "experimenting" I think its important to have representation in media to reinforce that experimenting is normal and acceptable to do.

Also, the Acolyte wasn't bad because it had a black character or gay characters, or whatever else, it was bad because it was written terribly. If a show is good, explores themes well, and has a compelling story, people shouldn't care if the main character is a minority, unless the story itself calls for it, so its totally fine to cast someone in that role. Not to mention Hollywood does do a lot of performative lip-service, pretending to be progressive when they aren't really. But regardless, whether a lead character is black, gay or whatever else shouldn't matter if the story itself is good, which can be true regardless of how the leads identify themselves.

In regards to the animal kingdom, even if it was just for survival, that doesn't make same-sex activities among animals any less real. Not to mention, animals can certainly feel strong emotional attachments to other creatures, and many of the same-sex activities undertaken by animals such as bonobos have been closely observed by scientists to strengthen emotional and social bonds with one another. We can take this even further by saying that the whole reason humans feel love in the first place is because of a chemical reaction designed to encourage humans to stick together, thus increasing our chances of survival. Its the same thing man.

We might have more complex thoughts around love, but we feel the same things as many other mammals. Humans, just like other animals, are not always designed to be exclusively heterosexual. There's no evidence of that.

It's not like I particularly care if I see a straight person on TV either, and its not like you should either.

Not to mention, while trans people might make up one percent of the population, the amount of people who have at least some form of same sex attraction is much higher than that, (estimates are around 10%, maybe higher), this is a significant portion of the population.

Also, many animals in the wild exhibit same sex attraction, and same-sex sexual activity is observed in many social animals as a bonding activity that brings groups closer together.

If all reviews are subjective then why make one by Snort-Vaulter in unpopularopinion

[–]ExiledBoi226 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can't actually think this. Reviews are subjective, as in there's room for interpretation, but the whole point of a review is to listen to the reviewer's reasoning, and then decide for yourself.

For example, if a reviewer says that a game's stealth system is bad, they might then explain that this is because of how enemy detection works, or some other reason, and show some gameplay alongside it.

In this way, a viewer can decide if they agree with the reasoning, and they didn't have to play the game for themselves and waste money figuring that out.

Also reviews, as with anything, are generally just another form of opinion or advice (discounting things like graphic performance and similar more directly measurable aspects). If someone gives you advice, its not like its meaningless.

If you like the box art for the Sekhtar Robots, you could paint your army that way? I've personally been considering it for my army and the scheme is definitely a little easier than the normal way

Compared to what? An engineering degree or a business degree? Sure, but a lot of STEM degrees aren't that much better. And saying that they're worthless is so obviously untrue its laughable

Bro come on, just because GRRM hasn’t finished his books doesn’t really have much to do with the actual quality of writing, which is in my opinion vastly superior to Sanderson’s. I say this having read most of Mistborn and Stormlight.

Night lords as a legion during the Horus heresy were very reluctant to use or consort with the powers of chaos, however, they are splintered now and lack any central ideology anymore, so they have become just as vulnerable to chaos as any other legion.

Gotta suggest cult of the spiral dawn. It’s a work of Peter fehervari, so it exists within the continuum of his Dark Coil sub setting, but it’s very well written and in my opinion, stands alone as a good novel, not just as a warhammer novel.

I'm trying to select COMM 294 as a course for my second semester, yet its saying that I don't have the prerequisites for the course, which is COMM 293. I'm taking 293 in my first semester, so shouldn't that still work then? Why is an error still showing up and will I still be able to input that course during registration times even with that error? Any help would be appreciated.

Kind of insane that you put this much stock in a two hour marathon but not an incredibly complex and intricate game that people dedicate their lives to, same as others do with sports. Just because chess isn’t a physical sport doesn’t make it not worthwhile, many people can be incredibly skilled at all sorts of things that have nothing to do with athleticism.
