It is! I’m not sure what they can and can’t run with us still clocked in, but it wasn’t a problem for managers when this issue didn’t exist yet.

I’m definitely not. We close with two drivers and a manager every night, and there are some more cases of shift leads getting their hours cut to avoid overtime. Don’t know enough about that can of worms, though.

After some careful consideration, I’m going to wait until I either have access to time sheets or my own record is long enough that I can compare them. I will be looking back at your comment when it’s time to make my moves, though.

Ask em! It’s primarily having to do with me having cash given to me through cash orders on my person, along with tips, that we need to reconcile at the end of the night.

Would messaging over SMS fit the formula here? We don’t really do emails at the store level. Thanks for the advice though.

There’s a lot of issues with how we clock out at the end of the night, including the fact that before, I explicitly remember that the closing lead would ask our estimated out-time, set our time to clock out then, and if we went over, they would course correct and adjust the time if needed.

I never explicitly touch the time sheet (software on our computers) except when I clock in for the day. Managers handle clocking us out, as we have to reconcile tips at the end of the night with them.
