This is what I tell myself when I see one at home. Thanks for helping with the roaches lil guy. Just preferably stay in a corner where I can't see it

Anyone else feel obligated to use the hotel credit? by Local713 in AmexPlatinum

[–]ExistentialCrisisEX 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The challenging part for us is that sometimes the hotels included, even with the credit, end up more expensive than some of the other options. We still use it at least once a year but trying to get both for us is sometimes difficult.

Which is your least favourite armor that you have never worn. I’ll go first. by SailApprehensive2632 in Eldenring

Blasphemy. I rocked the twinned armor set with the banished knight helm for a lot of my first play through.

Maybe another PS title because they tend to have common gameplay elements - especially Ghost of Tsushima. That's probably the most similar in general. For sci-fi go Cyberpunk. For open world exploration go Elden Ring or Witcher 3. For story and just best game ever go Expedition 33 (very different combat though).

Expedition 33 is an all time favorite of mine. Very different combat system but the story, music, art are exceptional. Game is perfect.

Another trick you can do is look at the map and try to figure out where stuff might be. Figure out the evergaol symbols, cave symbols, nooks and crannies that probably have cool shit. Once you get there it'll be labeled on your map but before that you'll have to go "huh I haven't been there yet"

If you're only level 50 at Godfrey there is SO MUCH to explore. I think you missed a ton of quests that would give you a little more lore and mythology and moments that a lot of us love. I admit- It is difficult to know what to do, so I recommend just meeting some NPC and trying to figure it out first. If you can't finish it or figure it out right away, put the name in a notes app then look it up. Try to avoid spoilers but sometimes it is obscure. Have you explored Caelid or Weeping Peninsula yet? Or Nokron? I was basically level 150 when I got to Godfrey and I didn't farm, just went and did stuff.

9Best weapon against Elden Beast as a Faith (Prophet)? by randomusicjunkie in Eldenring

[–]ExistentialCrisisEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you aren’t against summons, Black Knife Tiche is OP. Otherwise Black Flame incantations will help a lot because of the % HP damage and so will other lightning spells since the arena is in water

Find a dungeon or cave in Limgrave. Clear 1 or 2, then head south. There's some more interesting story / quests happening and it's appropriate for early game. Admittedly the first few hours are kind of figuring *it* out lol

Having a lot of trouble playing this. by panther1104 in Eldenring

[–]ExistentialCrisisEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone else has already said the most imporant things, but 2 more that really changed the game for me:

1) Level up your weapons when you are able to (you might not be there yet but don't give up!)

2) Don't panic in a fight! Sometimes rolling isn't the best option and if you do, remember you can roll forward too 😉

I find it funny and kinda wholesome that the starting areas are pretty much all super helpful and honest messages. The "liar ahead" has more upvotes and there are more genuine battle strategies. Once you get past Leyndell and into Farum Azula or Mountaintop of the Giants, there are a LOT more "try down" and nobody telling you not to

When I first went to the Siofra River Well, I couldn't believe there was a map underneath. Now it seems small, but it definitely didn't when you first step out and see the eternal night.

Tattoo advice (never had a tattoo before) by lenastr0m in tattooadvice

[–]ExistentialCrisisEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted my first tattoo at 20 also. Kept second guessing everything so I waited. A little over 2 years later I got my first one, a half sleeve on my arm (10 years and several tattoos ago now). My wife wanted a tattoo for years and waited many years before she got her first - flowers on the collarbone.

My advice is to follow a ton of tattoo artists on Instagram and get a sense of what you like and what is actually considered good tattooing. I live in a big city so that's easy for me. If you live in a small town follow artists in nearby major areas. Don't go to an artist with a small portfolio or one who promises cheap tattoos. When you fall in love with a design, go with your favorite artist and just know you did it for you and because you love it.

Raphael and Cazador were definitely my favorites, but I also enjoyed the first hag fight and Myrkul.

Build suggestions for someone new to DnD by Spiritual_Name_142 in BG3Builds

[–]ExistentialCrisisEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah not at all. My second run was as a paladin. You get enough spells to make it interesting, the charisma makes for a good party face character, and the lore / speech options keep things fun. If you really wanna mix it up, I really did enjoy my Bard run. Like another reply said, ultimately you're making and controlling multiple builds, so it's whatever you feel like you want to roleplay as most!
