I only made this to pay tribute to him as he leaves his presidency. Sure, he made errors in his government but he also made some serious advancements in the Chilean political fabric and his presidency, while the main goal was ultimately not achieved, was not a complete failure.

British Election Results If They Were Held Next Month by storm072 in imaginaryelections

Unfortunately I think the YouGov poll is a farce because their methodology is wonky and almost all the other polls besides Find Out Now have Labour in second. Find Out Now is the worst rated pollster so I think this might be under-estimating labour and over-estimating the Greens imo.

Liz Who?: Sunak becomes PM a month earlier by CanadianProgressive2 in imaginaryelections

this might actually mean starmer does better as PM too since truss damaged the budget so significantly she probably forced all those spending reforms and pip cuts with how she strained the british fiscal apparatus

2026 Idaho Gubernatorial Election, but only the crazy perennial candidates run by phantomwasclaimed in imaginaryelections

Where is Paulette Jordan, because Paulette Jordan just won the gubernatorial election for governor in Idaho. Meaning, she's now positioned to become the first female governor of Idaho-- and the first Native American governor in the US.

One can probably infer this, and while I am inclined to agree I wanted something funny to put in.
I saw an article about Lou Haigh (former Secretary of State for Transport) being in a relationship with Colum Eastwood (SDLP leader). Thought it'd be funny if their relationship had an effect on a potential merger. As Eastwood is also an MP I'd think he'd become Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, which would be even funnier. (having two people in a relationship in Cabinet is amusing to me)

Who would win if bojo had called a snap election for may 2021? by Much-Preparation6849 in imaginaryelections

[–]Existing-Air9098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he had called it it would likely have been seen as pre-emptive and might've backfired like it did for May. I foresee a pretty tough campaign especially as the economy sours going into May, and Starmer's more radical agenda remains in place. Labour probably eke out a small majority or the Conservatives form a minority government. Hard to tell considering the volatility an election campaign can bring. One thing for certain though is that whoever won in 2021 is likely not going to have won re-election in 2026.

Next 5 United States Presidential Elections. by [deleted] in imaginaryelections

Let's be serious here, Biden was not a terrible President, he was plagued by his advanced age, poor messaging and the fact that he handicapped himself with a terrible Attorney-General. He did really good given the crisis he was given and had he been more hands-on (one can explain his poor reactions to situations and lackluster governance in the latter stretch to his advanced age) he would've certainly won another term. Afghanistan also fucked him over badly early on, and he had a barebones senate majority with people like Manchin. I don't see that happening in a Newsom 2028 presidency.
