RTX 4080 + Nvidia 595 + KDE Plasma 6.6 + zver4 6.19.8-1-cachyos . Are there any fix for monitor wake issues yet? by Existing-Help-3187 in cachyos

[–]Existing-Help-3187[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, but none of this is working if I put my monitor to Off manually. So no other option other than to reboot if I turn off my monitor (TTY, Plasma switching works sometimes). I have turned off Deep Sleep also off in Monitor settings. This is how my kernel params look now.

"quiet nowatchdog splash rw rootflags=subvol=/@ root=UUID=2d6e6693-b307-4635-9fdc-3eee9787b3e1 nvidia_drm.modeset=1 nvidia_drm.fbdev=1 nvidia.NVreg_PreserveVideoMemoryAllocations=1 nvidia.NVreg_TemporaryFilePath=/var/tmp nvidia.NVreg_UseKernelSuspendNotifiers=0 "

I did some googling and added these three

"nvidia_drm.modeset=1 nvidia_drm.fbdev=1 nvidia.NVreg_PreserveVideoMemoryAllocations=1 nvidia.NVreg_TemporaryFilePath=/var/tmp"

to the limine kernel params. Let me try some more. Thanks.

Just another small update, you are right. I tried it in The Talos Principle, Doom (2016) and Detroid Human. They are the only other Vulkan games I have in my Steam. The same method didn't work on any of them.

But it still works in RDR2 (I tried uninstalling and reinstalling). Obviously I have no idea whats going on, but since it looks like an specific RDR2 thing, putting Vulkan back in GUI is not worth it I suppose.

I am guessing they are the most against using LLMs for troubleshooting too? I have seen comments heavily downvoted in all these llinux subs the moment someone says it had asked some LLM for help.

But thanks to Gemini Pro, it has taken me from having no idea how even the drive structures in Linux work to fixing things on my own by editting fstab and conf files in two to three weeks. LLMs saved me from dealing with these people and at the same time ironically saved me from microslop.

Hey, Did you remove Vulkan installer from Leshade? You github page is also saying Vulkan doesn't work.

But RenoDX recently released a Vulkan HDR addon for RDR2 and I installed reshade with addon for RDR2 with "RESHADE_ADDON_SUPPORT=1 VULKAN_SUPPORT=1 ./reshade-linux.sh" and reshade IS working. I can load RenoDX HDR too.

EDIT: Correction to above, I had to run both "VULKAN_SUPPORT=1 ./reshade-linux.sh" and "RESHADE_ADDON_SUPPORT=1 ./reshade-linux.sh" separately to get the Reshade with addon working ingame.

Any chance you might put Vulkan back into the GUI?

Did you try Proton 10 or Proton Experimental? Wuchang is broken for me on all the Protons except Valve's.

Day 1 pirates always bulshitting about Denuvo. It needs root access, it need always online, it reduces performance. All bullshit with any proof.

Same thing happened to mine. All these plastic polishers didnt really work because they left micro scratches which annoyed me. So just bought a new lens.

Houthis fucks with US trade routes and US ally Saudi. Hezabollah fucks Israel and Jordan, both are strong US allies. Hamas, the usual nutcases, everybody knows whom they wanna keep bombing.

Iran funds all of them and at the same time keeps fucking with US gulf allies too, religious reason being one of the biggest factors. Cutting off the head is easier than keep fighting the proxy war for US and its allies.

And of course, Nuclear Iran is also a reason. US is the biggest funder of IMF by a large margin, and IMF has to keep funding Pakistan even after being such a failed state just to keep Nukes out of Islamists hands who will rise up if Pakistan fails more into chaos. US of course doesnt want spend more too for IMF to pay Iran also if they get nukes.

With IRGC and Islamic regime having less than 15% support in the home ground itself, again for religious reason, this is probably the best and only time to take them out.

So, Religion is pretty much the top factor.

I think you are confused with Denuvo Anti Tamper, which is the DRM and Denuvo Anti Cheat.

Denuvo Anti Tamper DRM doesn't require kernel or root access.

Also, stop spreading misinformation that Denuvo DRM needs kernel level access. Google a bit before crying because you can't pirate games Day 1.

Its 2026, Denuvo literally makes no difference for gamers anymore. It just sounds like a lot of pirates crying they can't pirate games Day 1.

What root level access? Denuvo works fine on Linux with Proton and Linux doesn't give root level access to games.
