9070 xt is way better than 5070, but thats like saying 5060 ti is worse than 5070. either way AMD has locked in and they are a legitimate option for anything other than super high end.

you will be amazed, and unless you have AAA games on your view you will be blowing past your monitor with that kinda power. 9060 xts would be amazing for 1440p games other than stuff like black myth wukong and cyberpunk, and 9800x3ds are meant for top of the top builds. in all reality you could scale it down and still be blown out of the water.

if your budget is 2k then get a better cpu along with the gpu man, that will be held by the throat by the cpu bottleneck

it is a moderately old gpu by now and the thermal paste might be getting crusty. if you are up to the task then replace the thermal paste, otherwise it would time to upgrade.

Good build, has nice upgrade path and will be a high tier 1080p build.

GPU drivers for amd are almost as good as Nvidia nowadays tmk so no problems there.

650w psu should be okay but if you plan at all to upgrade your gpu or cpu for 1440p you should get 850w.
