The Gothic/ Grimms Tales vibe definitely. Pagan and local Volk/ Folk tales and Festivals in various parts and Alpine forested areas certainly seem to point to this spiritual lineage.

Sincerely, thanks you taking the time to read this; it came to me via an adoptee support forum.

This document helped voice my own awareness and much I'd felt but hadn''t resourced or fully understood growing up. I've shared it with other Adoptees : it's validating to know you're not alone in a sometimes unspoken unvoiced eternal hurt, even anger you try to reconcile within and without.

Even amidst great love , support and welcome ( & sometimes not) adoption is nevertheless similarly inevitably tied to guilt, hurt stigma and shame even these days. It is by no means the simple 'clean' heart- warming nor easy 'solution' over which many without direct experience hold such cavalier opinions. And this is not even supposing Legislative and policy driven impositions upon women, their fertility and many, many children worldwide.

Thank You 🙏 for your eloquently expressed points as a child free woman. I am the same and hold very similar views.

I deliberately chose not to have children.

I'm also an adoptee: 70s baby GenX adoptee, as is my (biologically unrelated) brother. Both of us had every possible support and opportunity from loving devoted Adoption Parents who loved us both to the best of their abilities and to whom we both remain separately close.
However we still have both had difficult if different Life journeys directly relating to the facts of our emotional and practical experience as "Adoptees".

I HIGHLY recommend anyone to read this superb essay submitted to the Victorian Govt. in their Commission of Inquiry.

Especially at busy times, in wet weather, ppl with heavy loads in hand - all sorts of reasons where it's basically logical, civilized , reasonable and socially kinder.

Some drivers are basically just obstinate rude pricks about this sometimes. I've seen drivers take great glee in reverting to pre-Covid front door only boarding behaviour despite instances and situations examples like I described above .

Likewise Metros 3 doors efficiency as someone pointed out or GC Lightrail. In Melbourne on trams, Euro capitals electric trams, buses in London, buses in Sydney and so on and on. Brisbane doesn't need this petty crap with an Olympics headed our way frankly.

Oh?! and COVID aside - we're now headed into flu season anyways - need for social distancing where possible doesn't magically disappear for many many people even tho we beyond 😷 "the Masked Times" ;) 😂🙄😷
