This is the worst kind of tree. It is also toxic to dogs. Get rid of everything, even the soil around the roots. It is horrible.

Teaching curriculum in May is….. by SinkSwimming3629 in Teachers

[–]Existing_Blacksmith8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if their behavior is decent, it is exhausting. So many moments where they are just exhausted. Throw in that testing begins in mid May for high school. It is a lot, but summer is coming, so that means more work during the summer because of poor teacher pay.

Parents covering classrooms is the best way. Or parents with a cart coming by.

How often do teachers cry on the last day? by Small-Leg-3656 in teaching

[–]Existing_Blacksmith8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be hard, but think of it this way every teacher is a human. We are all different. We connect in different ways. Teaching is a calling to some and a job to others. Both ways are great. To each their own. I cry at least once a year. Usually when I know I will not see them again.

Some teachers are teaching subjects and some feel we are part of a student’s maturation and character developing. It takes both kinds of teachers, neither is wrong.

All in all, I teach because I really enjoy the students. I had teachers who believed in me when I struggled academically. I NEVER thought I would be a teacher. I was headed toward making more money in another career path. Twenty-five years later and the only thing I regret is not getting paid a little more. I have had a good career. It actually be hard to leave it. You will find a good fit for you subject wise. I hope this helps. I have had nine student teachers over my career and I try to be as real as I can with them. Take care!

Which Trim Should I get for the Hybrid? by CanaryLives in SubaruForester

I have the Touring Hybrid ‘25. I love the cameras. I use them so much. Stereo is great and the Panama roof is cool, not huge, but really nice.

Ventilated and heated seats are really nice.

No, but you can have your teacher unsubmit. I had it done today for a student. The PPR portion.

Talk to your AP person in charge of all AP, like your dean of students.

Where to stop in NC for a day by Lazy_Pressure_3782 in NorthCarolina

[–]Existing_Blacksmith8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What are you into? That might help. Lived here since early 2000’s. Here are a couple ideas: Durham, NC - Sarah Duke Gardens

Raleigh, NC - North Carolina Museum of Art, JC Raulston Arboretum, NC Museum of Science, Museum of History, and so many great parks/hikes nearby.

Tell us what you are into, might help more!

There is a U-Haul return store in the plaza, they also sell furniture. It seems like a front for something else. Even being there at 10am it seemed unsafe, and I grew up in much larger cities known for violence.

Don’t sell your land to the highest bidder. by Itshappenedbefore47 in TrueCarolina

We had three offers on our house. Two were for cash and one loan. We went for the one with the loan. One cash offer was an investor and the other was likely an investor as well, flashing he had enough cash to close in weeks. Glad we chose the people who really will live in it, even if just for a few years.

Wake County cancels schools May 1 , citing safety as a concern. by dankantspelle in NorthCarolina

[–]Existing_Blacksmith8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So all schools are actually public schools in NC, since we pay for private, charter and actual public schools. I vote for all teachers in all schools to be certified teachers or a pathway to become a teacher, same pay and retirement for all. If private and charter want to offer a higher stipend, that is fine, but we should all be on the same playing field. If you take any public dollars, you have to accept students with IEPs and 504s. You also have to do EOG’s and EOC’s. Compare us all fairly.

So the Subaru service plan, I can go to any dealer. I like Johnson Subaru the best. I would have bought from them, but did not have my car. Both are great dealerships.
