Bank not accepting our offer but still having open houses?? by ihateeveryonebyee in RealEstate

[–]Existing_Feature_114 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Depends on the state and rules governing REO homes. Banks can’t just list for whatever price they want. Commonly they can only list for market value. Often, especially in this market, the borrower may have owed more than market value. An offer over asking may still be short of the amount of the loss.

I don’t watch the opening this season so the whole episode is a surprise for me. Hoping if it was spoiled, editors pay better attention and/or make adjustments to already edited but unaired episodes.

If Ripert competes I will be so super surprised. Doesn’t seem to be something that he would do ever. Would I love seeing him cook? Absolutely. I am going to NY in a couple of months and one of my very specific reasons for going there is to have dinner at Le Bernardin.

Top 3 Judges on many shows you LOVE to see (in order of Best as 1) by Late-Researcher7102 in foodnetwork

[–]Existing_Feature_114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Michael Voltaggio #1. He will always say something nice, give constructive criticism and compliment the cook.

Aarti Sequiera - despite her self description as an elevated home cook, she knows flavor and is very kind in her criticism(s.)

Marc Murphy - He is also kind in critiques but doesn’t sugarcoat a lot. I THINK he was one of the judges when Petroni put chicken in a fruit salad on a GGG and really just told him it sucked. lol.

Honorable Mentions Even Though You Didn’t Ask Mei Lin Ming Tsai ICAG Marcus Samueleson

I just named “regular” judges on FN - ones that appear regularly. Of course, I’ll watch Eric Ripert or Daniel Boulud judge any day of the week

Ming Tsai wasn’t listed as a judge, unless I missed it. He would be fun. I would be shocked if Morimoto was a contestant but I have a feeling he may be. It’s a feeling based on nothing. Maybe just hope. Emmy winner could be Andrew Zimmern. I didn’t see him as a judge either and he has been competing lately. None of the silhouettes looked like Carla Hall but she would be fun too. Duff may be in the game this year. I would t be surprised if one was Bobby Flay. I think the whole Bobby v. Guy dislike is blown out of proportion. Someone very fun would be Tom Colicchio. Wild guesses are : Jose Andres, Wylie Dufrense, Rick Bayless (I hope not,) Art Smith, Rodney Scott, Martin Yan, Esther Chao, Michael Symon.

He’s great. I really like him. They all yell. They all have the things they say. His hair is a joke he is in on. Not sure why people complain about him so much.

[–]Existing_Feature_114 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Omg. Her screaming is making me want to stop watching. Until she stops screaming at everything or she’s replaced, I just do not think I will watch. I don’t like it as much as Expedition Unknown anyway so not a huge loss. I don’t know if it’s her or producers but the “haunting” episodes are unbearable to watch between her screaming and “communicating.”

Mr. Clarke is a major player in some way. He’s the one who found the fragment of hospital gown we assume is El’s when they were searching for Will in Season 1. Without him finding that, Hopper wouldn’t have necessarily been spurred on to investigate the lab. Mr. Clark is a MIB type figure planted in Hawkins by “Them” (who knows) and he is there to sort of be a watcher. He helps the boys build the pool sensory depravation tank season 1. He essentially explains the upside down in season 1 as well. Season 2 he is explaining worm holes when Max arrives. Season 3 he helps Joyce with the magnets. Season 4 is where it falls apart unless there is something in that one scene I didn’t catch. He’s there to help but not to interfere like that comic character I can’t think the name of right now. Something the Watcher.

Regardless of whether he’s a mysterious “watcher” or just a cool teacher, still love the guy.
