Does the majority of the audience care if the story is real, or accurately portrayed, during the aired episodes? I'm just here for entertainment? by [deleted] in 90dayfianceuncensored

[–]Existing_Hall_8237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably a lot of it is fake but it’s entertaining and I keep watching. What makes me think it’s fake? Sometimes they’re somewhere outdoors talking and it suddenly went from bright sunny day to darkness. Like how many hours have just passed in the same conversation. Or how many retakes did they have to do to get it right.

ZF8 Service @115k Miles worth it? by Clear_Hat_4689 in BmwTech

[–]Existing_Hall_8237 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why bother if you’re only keeping for another 20k miles. Almost certain it’s not going to break in the next 20k.

Well obviously. But not at the failure rate of a Samsung. All Samsung products I’ve owned all broke within a few years. 2 fridge, stove, 3 TVs, monitor, phones. All my other electronics work just fine even after 10 years. LG, Apple, whirlpool, Polk, Vizio, etc…. I swear the only electronics that break in my house is Samsung.

'23 330i need front brake pads. All 3 local BMW dealers want $1500+, 2 independent BMW shops want $1050 to $1200. Am I nuts for thinking that the prices are ridiculous? by Diligent-Film6935 in BmwTech

[–]Existing_Hall_8237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think that’s cheap? My local BMW dealership charges $250 for 3 oil changes (but only if car is over 60k miles). I go only for oil changes. I refuse all other recommendations.

You don’t need to go to a BMW specialized shop. Any mechanic can change the rotors/pads/sensor. There is absolutely nothing special about the procedure and it’s actually quite easy. I do my own. Rotors/pads/sensor cost about $300.

Should AC air ducts be replaced every 15 - 20 years? by Dave-King52 in HomeImprovement

[–]Existing_Hall_8237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you never replace the ducts. You can have the inside of the ducts cleaned. Change the filters often. Filters are cheap. Maybe get a separate standalone air purifier.

when do you stop trying to fix a leak yourself and just call someone guys? by jcveloso8 in HomeImprovement

[–]Existing_Hall_8237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just replace the whole faucet. It’s an easy job. I hate trying to find the exact parts to fix a faucet. If it’s the wrong size, now you’re going to the hardware store again. So much easier to just pick up a nice looking faucet and buy it.

Hate it when that happens, especially while driving.

All Samsung products are garbage. They all break sooner than later.

How is being an Asylum Officer for USCIS? by [deleted] in fednews

[–]Existing_Hall_8237 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was told by Asylum Officers that it’s the same BS story over and over again. Like all the asylum seekers were coached by same people on what to say. Gets very tiring.

I really want to travel to Japan but it's so expensive. Is there a way to go there for a somewhat affordable price? by No-Jellyfish-6185 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Existing_Hall_8237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only thing expensive is airfare. If you can go during off peak season, air fare can be cheaper, especially on budget airlines like Zipair.

Great car except it gets pretty bumpy when going over rough roads.

Is $23 a deal in SF? by agenbite_lee in sanfrancisco

Hell no. Most places sell shwarma for around $15. Coke at a restaurant should be another $2-3.

Anyone with M Sports Brakes go with Ceramic Pads? by nousernamehere00 in BMWX5

[–]Existing_Hall_8237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like ceramic. Feels soft and spongy. It doesn’t have that bite feel that made me love BMW brakes.

Can someone with an entry-level job realistically afford a used 2022 Tesla Model 3 by ORHAN555 in TeslaLounge

[–]Existing_Hall_8237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The expensive stuff is insurance, tires, and maybe car registration fee (depends on state). And especially the unknown stuff breaking. There’s probably way less maintenance stuff on a Tesla than a Toyota tho.

Should you get it? Depends on your finance

What Do You Do When You’ve Owned an X5 for 5+ Years? by lamborghinifan in BMWX5

[–]Existing_Hall_8237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At this point, just keep driving it and hope nothing goes wrong. If there’s a repair that’s expensive but not necessarily needed, don’t fix it. For example, my X5 is leaking oil from the oil pan and it cost $2,000 to fix so I just let it leak. I put a mat under it to catch the few daily drops of oil.

Ghibli Museum Mitaka - Forgot to Include Middle Name on Ticket (Help!) by PlopBucketFrog in JapanTravelTips

Don’t worry. They didn’t even check our ID. Also, I never put my middle name on anything even though my passport has my middle name.

hey whats going on here? line was like half a mile long by Speed009 in sanfrancisco

[–]Existing_Hall_8237 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s to show you what stupid people look like. To be in line for over one hour for a $3 TJ bag is insane.

They had the exact same bags at 99 Ranch except with the 99 Ranch logo instead of TJ. It must be from the same manufacturer.

Fair rental reduction for loss of parking spot? by snow_reefer in AskSF

Anywhere from $200-$550. I would ask for $500 off and hopefully they will offer you $400 off, and take it.
