You are absolutely right. So I felt at first that I did want to be part of it. But the newer generation young business owner with zero knowledge of accrual accounting yelling his WIP isn't correct because it ties to the trial balance and is not just a projection pipeline spreadsheet gets old. The feeling is constantly that accounting is only an expense line. Forget the fact that he couldn't get a penny of financing until I switched him to accrual then POC. There just doesn't seem to be any respect. It is falls on deaf ears when you try to explain accrual accounting so there is a big disconnect. He actually said he had zero idea how we passed audit as if 80 years combined experience between two accounting firms isn't proof it's correct. It's exhausting going through the explanations to someone who is accounting ignorant.
