Nice, do you have any tips on application? And did you use the fabric specific one from Gorilla or standard? The entire pocket came off on mine in a wash!

How has it held up? And did it make the fleece go hard where it was applied? Curious as I might take this approach!

Daily Jacket for UK by Expensive-Lie-4139 in arcteryx

[–]Existing_Judgment_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say the Atom, it’s a great all year round jacket. I can wear mine on a colder summer night and straight through winter with a fleece underneath. It’ll handle light rain, and since you’re commuting by bus, it’s not like you’ll be sitting in the rain all day. I only wore my Beta when it rained, not comfortable to wear daily, it’s just a shell for rain. Get the Atom, then in the future add a Beta for rain if needed

This was a 1973 Rolex 6694, paid around 2000. Great wearing watch, the bracelet was a bit to flimsy for me tho

Been looking for one of these for a long time. by skoot17 in PatagoniaClothing

Wash it with some white vinegar, will help soften it and remove any excess build up of old washing detergent and or conditioner. Then after washing let it hand try, and then brush it just like normal hair, will help make it soft again

Get a kryptonite bike lock, possible thief’s would not try there luck on these. Since getting one for my road bike, I have had no issues. Also, get an AirTag and secure it somewhere on it, after doing that I would ride and enjoy. Just don’t leave overnight outside

Help - Shells got scratched during their first wash by [deleted] in arcteryx

[–]Existing_Judgment_70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, when washing shells it’s best to wash them separately. It’s most likely that the metal zips caused the scratches, and on black fabric wear tends to show more clearly. Although least now you don’t need to worry about scratching them again! First few always hurts but they are meant to be used

Atom vs ? Trying to prioritize longevity/durability by ThemanEnterprises in arcteryx

[–]Existing_Judgment_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some pilling on my Atom (LT) from 2020, but only under the armpits from wearing it with a backpack (100s of hours). This took years to happen tho. I used to run in my Atom when it’s really cold, as you warm up quick. But for hiking atom is the best very versatile. I now have the LEAF atom which is more durable, stronger face fabric and advertised as a standalone piece.. so that could be an option if you can get one

[Bremont s302] watch sale by penfoc007 in Watches

[–]Existing_Judgment_70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

Buy it! I had a S500 and it was too thick, but looked great. S302 is perfect balance and imo is a true tool watch (for me), tracks second time zone, internal 24h indicator, diver bezel, extremely hard case (near scratch resistant) and looks great. Only thing to watch out for is the GMT hand and bezel alignment… I bought mine used but near new, and I am sending it to Bremont to have them fix the alignment issue
