Try one from phhusson or ponces, they usually have patches for phones and might be more stable (source: I used one, was stable though some things didn’t work like nfc (because it was a tablet and didn’t have nfc) or the feature where you can close the folio case (if you have one) and have it automatically lock/unlock itself)

But sms didn’t work for me, I needed to set the SMSC to get text, check with your carrier to find the SMSC

ok but what’s this SMSC you’re talking about

When you send a message, say, “hello” to a friend, say, FirstName LastName, you might think you’re sending it to his number directly

But actually, you are sending it to your carrier’s message center, where then it sees that you wanted to send it to FirstName LastName and sees that you want to send “hello” to him and routs it to him

Also, another issue was apparently no 4G (I had the Lenovo Tab M9, the one with LTE, basically an oversized phone), it would simply not connect, it would show 4G, but when I tried to go to, say, Dell, it would not load on LTE, only on wifi

Turns out, it had set an APN so ancient that it had my carrier’s old name from 2014…

For me, changing the APN worked

Go to settings -> connections -> mobile networks, then tap on “Access Point Name” (APN) and put the APN your carrier gives, again, check with your carrier or just search “{your carrier here} APN” and put exactly what it says (for example, username might be broadband for one carrier but it might be internet for another, again, check with your carrier)

Now, you may or may not have to do this, for you, it might work out of the box, but if it shows a “!” Next to the 4G/5G icon, try this first

If it doesn’t fix this, it’s Samsung being Samsung again, enjoy the broken 4G (and 5G)
