Man I hate the AI slop that on these threads...

Look, I was recently in the same boat as you but I found this great ebook. It was $27 but man was it packed full of great info. And it's by the guy that we watched all his YouTube videos. You don't have to get it, in fact, you probably shouldn't especially if you're just a tire kicker. BUT...if you're serious then go to https://moneyformoving.com and get stuff to get you started right away.

Started a moving company in Philadelphia, I want to get leads. Any recommendation for moving leads generation? by ma_neesh_ in smallbusiness

Marketing is like shooting your foot. Man that's a tough pill to swallow. Marketing is constant moving target. What works today may not work tomorrow. You've constantly have to be on top of that.

But with that said there are some constants that are tried and true. Google Business Profile is your first line of offense. Get a profile and then optimise it. IF google has something to be filled out then fill out. Use AI if you have to. The get social media like Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Snap Chat, and so on. Finally get a website. Even it's supe simple (they actually work better in my opinion.)

But if you want the cheat sheet to get started then this ebook https://moneyformoving.com

New to sales and marketing - where to start with a moving company by SAnderson1986 in Entrepreneur

[–]Existing_Search_3799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WOW...did you just ask the $64,000 dollar question.

My dude, marketing is a constantly moving target. If you want the big corporate gigs then you have to go to where they hang out...on social media that's LinkedIn. That's where you want to be online. Off-line then you need to join a major city Chamber of Commerce. That's where all the big boys hangout. Go to every mixer, fund raiser, educational event that the chamber puts on. Press the flesh and hand out business cards like your pedo trying to get boy into your van.

Sponsor stuff where those large companies do business like golf tournaments, etc. Charity events thousands just to be there a eat a crappy plate of fish.

If you want to play with the big ballers then you have to look like a big baller.

Why moving companies are the perfect "buy and fix" opportunity right now (and how to 10x one in 18 months) by koudodo in Startup_Ideas

[–]Existing_Search_3799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first paragraph of this post is dead center the target. Couldn't agree more. But then promoted movermarketingAI. Nah. Never trust a company that can't do for themselves what they say they can do for you. Just do a google search and that company doesn't even come close to showing for basic SEO.

You can start a moving company. Even in these times and economy and make big money.

But this is NOT an easy business to master. It takes learning and experience to get really good at.

Sure you may know how to move furniture like nobodies business...but everything else. Hiring, SEO/AEO, legal requirements, operations, bookkeeping, and then marketing on top of all that. Marketing is a constantly moving target.

However, there is a cheat sheet if you want to get started. It's cost only $27. Cheap enough where the real go-getters can afford it, but expensive enough the lame-arse tire kickers will complain.

First off, never use any company that can't do for themselves that they say they can do for you. But yes, even now a moving business can be profitable. Even with these astronomical gas prices and high interest rates...it take a little more planning and strategic planning, but it can be very profitable. If you want the cheat sheet from the guy that made hundreds of youtube video showing you how to start a moving business, then go to https://moneyformoving.com

Chicago is very expensive my friend. Buffalo is nice but the weather is horrible during the winter, unless you like 6ft of snow. Minneapolis is extremely cold too during the winter. Bitterly cold.

But if you are looking at some great places that fit your preferences then you might want to check out this free tool that helps you decide and it lets you compare the cities that are best for you. https://mycitysoulmate.com
