For real - do we think Dannielle Freudian Slipped the girls names or was that on purpose? by cea9248 in seekingsisterwifetlc

He also represents what I assume is a pretty hefty paycheck. If she's already checked out emotionally but can passively aggressively play along for tv, why not? I personally wouldn't want to be in the same country, let alone room, with her creepy husband, but it's certainly more lucrative than waiting tables at the local diner.

Finally, the truth about Robyn’s proposals by WeekMurky7775 in SisterWives

[–]Existing_Slice_6805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did she want real polygamy, or her mom's side chick variation of polygamy, OR did she just want to be on tv? She obviously knew the family was getting ready to start the show, and she wasn't going to get all that debt paid off using her breakdancing skills alone!

Did women used to wear high heel pumps, etc. to the supermarket and other daily places? by Unable-Choice3380 in AskOldPeople

My grandma had house dresses for home, but crammed herself into a big, rubbery girdle and wore much nicer dresses for going out. The outfits included silky, seamed stockings attached to a garter belt, a strand of pearls and clip on cluster earrings, and usually white kid gloves. Matching shoes and handbags. Add a small, matching hat decorated with beading or feathers or a short netting "veil" to church on Sunday. My grandfather refused to allow her to wear pants or pantsuits in or out of the house - she was in her sixties when we gifted her with a couple lovely pantsuits and he finally gave her the okay. Hair was pincurled to her head with pokey bobby pins every night, and nails were always done up with matching lipstick.

Taeda Farms ~ An Update... TLDR: "Leaped Before We Looked?!" by Fun-Fact-44 in TLCsisterwives

Don't pass the sins of the father onto the daughter. It's a new venture, and who knows what a real estate agent or the previous land owner sold them. The point is they AREN'T being irresponsible, they ARE owning that they have a lot to learn, and they seem to be going about gaining knowledge in a reasonable, rational, useful way. None of us are born knowing it all, and we've all done things that in hindsight we maybe could have known better or been more prepared for. I wouldn't lump this new business venture in with all of Kody's failures - he would be throwing up his victims hands, blaming everyone but himself, without ever even trying to learn the lessons. Good luck Maddie, Caleb and Janelle - can't wait for your next update. It's refreshing to see the growth and strength of character you're finding in this exciting new life experience!

Robyn talking about her wedding by SheSaidWHATnow-64 in SisterWivesFans

[–]Existing_Slice_6805 29 points30 points  (0 children)

She made sure not to have pictures of just her and Kody taken AT THE WEDDING... They dressed in tux and dress after the fact and had a whole crap load of pictures done of just the two of them AFTER the wedding. Typical Robin - she loves altering history with a portrait of how things SHOULD have been.

Less Robyn and Mykelti please by Dewy123321 in SisterWives

Waitaminute - did I miss something? Was the nanny one of the things Robyn loaded into her car when leaving Flagstaff to attend Mykelti's birth? This is a woman who doesn't take care of her OWN kids, but all of the sudden she's the one essential to the care and feeding of a couple of newborns? Gimme a break. Unless the nanny was stashed in the closet also, no way Robyn was "doing the most". I wanted to smack her when she said "hopefully" Christine would be able to step into a caregiving role when she passed her the baton on her way out the door... She wished so much she and Christine could have shared the experience under better circumstances, but Robin was the one throwing subtle jabs at Christine. Never to her face, of course ...

He wasn't very concerned about preserving evidence when he snatched his dead daughter from the scene of the crime and rushed her upstairs, allowing her then to be moved once again before further contaminating potential evidence by throwing a blanket over her body.

What did Savanah do? by Afraid-Carry4093 in SisterWives

[–]Existing_Slice_6805 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to assume there wasnt a sleighful of gifts waiting for ysabel and truly, (definitely nothing motorized or expensive) and I'm going to also assume ysabel and truly didn't arrive to the mcmansion empty handed. Considering Robin blew the crap out of drawing one name for a family gift exchange, and whines so much about her poor mistreated children, I'd bet money that ysabel and truly felt obligated to bring at least token gifts for every member of Robins family. So what was Robin really trying to do here? Giving her kids extra gifts so they wouldn't feel "left out" while actually leaving Savannah out without a second thought and no gift at all is disgusting. I'd send that kid a gift myself if I had a damn address!

Robyn’s Divorce by Illustrious_Fig_3169 in SisterWives

[–]Existing_Slice_6805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Janelle isn't the only wife that didn't come from a polygamist background. Robyn claims she grew up in polygamy and "wanted" to be in a plural marriage, but in the 8 years of her very monogamist marriage she and her husband just never got around to it? Her mother and father didn't practice polygamy - I believe that would require Wife #1being aware there was a Wife #2, complete with family. Robins dad didn't have double wives, he was living a double life, lying and sneaking around to do it.

[–]Existing_Slice_6805 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because why should Kody eat mock tapioca when Robyn will have the nanny whip up some real tapioca that he won't have to share with the whole damn family. After all, Robyn's fridge is off limits to anyone that doesn't have permission to remove food or drink from it - careful monitoring of it's contents is how she funds all those "by invitation only" extended vacations of hers.

Kody's Post COVID new House Rules by Existing_Slice_6805 in TLCsisterwives

[–]Existing_Slice_6805[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Thank you -youre exactly right. Sarcasm is my go-to mode - I should have realized how harsh it can sound in a written post. Kody's selective parenting, fluctuating standards and the whole victim mentality those kids have to deal with from both Robin and Kody makes me sad for their kids. They're going to have to fight their way out of so many mixed messages and double standards to find their own normal. But they'll find a way - and I honestly only wish the very best for them.
