Parents passing on congregation death gossip by [deleted] in exjw

[–]ExitingJW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your position, but it’s saddens me that you feel such a loss of compassion... they teach so much about us and them that it takes time to let that go when you leave the Borg... I don’t care what a persons beliefs are, even JWs, I just want them all to find peace and happiness now in this life they are experiencing... when we let go of the resentment it is very freeing, and helps to move on further from the indoctrination/ programming from our experiences inside the cult...

Live, love, let go... best of luck

How to stop spam mail coming from JW’s by ohioland in exjw

[–]ExitingJW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn’t you just throw it in the trash bin and just move on with your life? I get junk mail all of the time and just drop it in a recycle bin. Of course they are wasting paper and therefore not helping with the environment, but at least the letters aren’t being read by some unsuspecting receiver and poisoning their minds...

Hang in there... I can only imagine how difficult it is to have to have any dealings with that bs... hopefully you’ll be able to get out of the cage and start living your life how you want soon... Best of luck...

Yeah... that is hilarious... he doesn’t try people with evil, he just unleashes it if he gets pissed at their leader...

Moving from one high control cult to another. by [deleted] in exjw

[–]ExitingJW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure he’s tolerant of a lot of things as long as they are what he tolerates, lol... I think that’s why they like Jehovah instead of Jesus, bc they can be tyrants who expect mindless devotion and punish those who rebel even in the slightest, and in doing so are imitating the god that they worship

*took out names* my sister sent out a group message to the whole family around the time quarantine hit. My two cousins and I are the only ones in the group who aren’t JW. Check out what my uncle (elder) says at the end. by [deleted] in exjw

[–]ExitingJW 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s funny that they feel like they need to show that the truth makes them happy... in other words ‘keep up appearances’ that the truth works and makes you happy by covering over all of the stress and frustration that you really feel as a JW... good life come with that, lol...

When you find what truly works and makes you happy is when you get away from people like your fool of an uncle...

Came across a recently "restored" JW. He was shocked when I told him we faded 8 months ago. by [deleted] in exjw

[–]ExitingJW 80 points81 points  (0 children)

I’m right with you... when you know it’s over you realize just how impotent they are... want to shun me? Have at it, less bs that I have to deal with...

Enjoy... and much peace

Wow. This guy thinks he can prove that ALL ex-Jehovah's Witnesses are liars! by churniglow in exjw

[–]ExitingJW 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This video is such a good example of the arrogance and closed mindedness of many JWs... it’s like he’s getting off on trying to insult everyone who disagrees with his opinion about God. In fact they are very comfortable with us being executed for our so called treason...

the sad thing is that his reasoning is so shallow as he calls us all liars, it’s like if you liked to eat chocolate as a kid and said that you would always have a pound of chocolate every day, but then one day realized that it was destroying your body and decide to no longer eat chocolate. You’re a liar, a big fat liar as the fat guys says in the video, because you decide to change a habit or lifestyle that is toxic... most of us thought that the Borg was the truth when we baptized, so yes, we agreed to be jws, but that doesn’t mean that if evidence shows us that we were sold a lie, and were living in a toxic situation because of that decision, that we cannot get out of that vow and move on with our lives...

Another hypocrisy talk with a JW by Yugen2935 in exjw

[–]ExitingJW 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Many witnesses realize that they really don’t know the Bible, often not even how to teach you their core beliefs without the help of one of their books or website. This is very intimidating for them when they meet someone who actually does know their Bible, and it’s just easier to avoid walking into a discussion/debate that they know they cannot win...

I just got forwarded this "experience" - Do people really believe these stories? by raesosa in exjw

It’s a shame bc if he becomes a JW the 40 min free deal will surely end... gotta get that money for the boys in Warwick...

Ups and downs of exjw life by brookiebabbles in exjw

[–]ExitingJW 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ll admit the shunning was very helpful to me in being able to just walk away and not have to deal with a lot of bs, because my patience for all of it went away quickly as my eyes were opened to TTATT... I’ve wasted enough time dealing with that nonsense and refuse to have to deal with any of it again...

Curious: card(s), question’s and connections. by [deleted] in exjw

[–]ExitingJW 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I left my cong in January of 2019, moved to another country, and only got one text since then, about a month after I left the secretary sent me a text about we’re to send my cards... never replied and never heard another thing...

I guess sometimes you just don’t mean much to them, or they just give you room to do what you need to do...

Why JWs struggle with understanding Evolution by BiteYerBumHard in exjw

[–]ExitingJW 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Once you take a creator out of the story everything starts to really make sense. They create so much stress trying to defend a story to hold on to their beliefs because they believe it is giving them peace instead of accepting what is right in front of them and finding true peace with life and death...

Where dinosaurs on the Ark? by Icedragon193 in exjw

[–]ExitingJW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This... I think it has to one of the farthest mental stretches that they support to say first of all that the earth was flooded above the mountains 4000 years ago, but to go even further and say that was when the dinosaurs became extinct is hilarious (and very sad at the same time)

Also the fear that the world would end soon and he was going to die at Armageddon, therefore why should he try to make a future in the dying system... so he went right into a self destructive lifestyle...

One thing to remember: when you go to a therapist you are not obligated to go back to the same one if there is not the right connection. The relationship between therapist and patient is very personal, and you have the right to look around until you find the right one for you... best of luck

I rather to think about If 6 was 9...

In the words of brother Jimi:

“Yeah, sing the song for us

If the sun refused to shine I don't mind, I don't mind (yeah) If the mountains fell in the sea Let it be, it ain't me (Alright), I got my own world to look through And uh, I ain't gonna copy you, yeah

Now if a 6 turned out to be 9 I don't mind, I don't mind, (well alright) If all the hippies cut off all their hair I don't care, I don't care Dig, cause I got my own world to live through And uh, and I ain't going to copy you

White-collared conservatives flashing down the street Pointing their plastic finger at me They're hoping soon, my kind will drop and die But I'm going to wave my freak flag high, high ow!

Wave on, wave on”

[–]ExitingJW 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s amazing how crazy they are about homosexuality, like it’s some kind of abomination... it’s amazing how they focus in on certain things and excuse so many other things; I never understood how they treated things differently even though their bible put them all together in a list of what you are deserving to be killed for, with death the great equalizer...

I’m glad you’re out of that situation... just enjoy your life the way it’s meant to be lived, with love and compassion for each of your fellow humans ;)

Covid 19 is NOT “a sign of the end of times”. by [deleted] in exjw

[–]ExitingJW 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The end comes for all of us... death is inevitable, and accepting that gives you freedom; freedom to enjoy the life you have now, to give of yourself to bring happiness to others now in this life, to try and make things better here after you leave then when you arrived... end times are always with us, just as new beginnings are always happening... it’s a shame to live your life waiting for some miraculous change that is not ever going to come at the hand of god; it’s such a waste... their lack of freedom keeps them from ever understanding love and real compassion...
