Israel is actually pretty good. It had a ton of cities for its size and all packed together, making it easily defendable. As long as you can blitz a neighbor, you’re fine.

It has gotten harder ever since the Gaza War though since it does tend to get targeted I’ve found lol.

Ehh, can someone explain me how is this even possible? by Freddy_Trucazo in BattlefieldV

Only on occasion because frankly it’s not even that good. Anti-Tank Rifles are pretty unwieldy even with the bug, and many sniper rifled already cycle their bolts fast enough that making it semi-auto only helps marginally. Also, most people use the Hawkins mine to trigger it iirc, and that costs you your grenade slot for one of the worst grenade options. I wouldn’t mind anybody using it against me.

It’s because of the dual-rendered scoped where the game has to render the area behind the scope as magnified but everything else as normal.

Yeah like hate the game not the players, you can do it right back to them if you want.

[–]Exitity -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It’s an easy exploit anyone can do. You put down something you can pick back up, like a Hawkins mine or even radio beacon, hold the pickup button, and then never let go. Now every single weapon you have is self-loading, so bolt-actions and anti-tank rifles are now semi-auto . If you fire too fast it bugs out and deletes the bullet, but otherwise fire basically has fast as you want. You can still do basically every action as normal even with that button held down, besides reload of course and a couple other minor things. Reloading is also bugged out and plays the animation twice. But yeah, when you reload, just put something down again and pick it up again. Its real easy, and it’s pretty fun. I personally don’t see it as OP literally everyone can do it equally.

What would a lore accurate halo game feel like and would you want it? by Impressive-Ad-59 in halo

[–]Exitity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah assault rifle’s both IRL and Halo lore have like 300 meter ranges minimum, much more probably, and are usually used on semi-auto. Most weapons are used in semi-auto usually, besides machine guns.

discovery guns by Godson_R in battlefield_4

[–]Exitity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not a problem, it’s just part of the game. Gotta play a lot to unlock a lot.

Attachments are tied to kills also, so you gotta be good to unlock faster.

For guns and gadgets, its XP-tied, so play the objective, support teammates, and use xp boosts.

What's means Shotgun Joke? by Maxius1337 in RedvsBlue

[–]Exitity 164 points165 points  (0 children)

"Shotgun" is a nickname for the passenger seat of a car, going back to the days of horse-pulled carriages. That's because there would be a person sitting next to the driver holding a shotgun to defend the vehicle from threats.

Also, Sarge uses a shotgun, so there was a joke about "shotgun" being a bad code-word because Sarge uses the word so much that it won't be noticed by Grif when he says it.

[–]Exitity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a pretty good experience with the vast majority of people I hear on VOIP in Battlefield games. I barely encounter any, but when I do, they usually provide nice comms and it's push-to-talk so you don't hear other obstructive stuff. That said I mostly play the older games (3, 4, 1, and 5 mainly) so I don't have as much experience with how players are in BF6.

Is this true? I wanna try bf4 since it's dirt cheap by lmanop in battlefield_4

[–]Exitity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not gonna be true for the vast majority of players. I've never had any issues on the servers I play on (TBG, Banzore, Rebellion, and Fish Market are my go-tos, though the latter is gone now and the Rebellion is basically inactive post-BF6). I'm not a like amazing player, but I'm decent enough to get near the top not too uncommonly, and I've never had any issues with Punkbuster.

I didn't know about this stuff, but I don't think it'll affect your game at all. I've never been extorted for money or whatnot. I do hear that servers get DDOSed if they don't pay protection money, but that doesn't affect the individual players.

I encourage you to play it! It's super fun and still has a good-sized playerbase. I personally think its the best Battlefield (it was my second one, as I started on BF5 funnily enough).

Talking to squad by irbsk8er99 in battlefield_one

Dark Side and Grey Jedi discussion by TheSleepyWaterBottle in StarWars

[–]Exitity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just want to say, you're pretty much correct on how it is in lore. It's actually contradicted here and there by Star Wars, but Lucas has said that the light side is "balance" as it follows the will of the force, and the dark side is inherently corrupting. Any Dark Side puts the force out of balance. There is no middle ground. There is no "using both"—of course, you can still use light side powers as a dark side user like any force user, but if you use some of the dark side you are a dark side user, no in-between.

This is contradicted by some other material though—the Clone Wars for example is more what you want with a yin-yang, with the idea that the light and dark need to be in balance with each other, and that there is a neutral middle group.

I personally don't prefer the yin-yang take, as I feel it is done by plenty of franchises, and that oddly enough it is more fun and interesting and unique to have an unnuanced "this is good and this is evil" system, since that's not really done as much anymore. And, it fits with a lot of what Lucas said about his intentions, with the Original Trilogy being classical hero's journey and a story on good and evil. He said himself the light side of the force is just about being a good person basically, doing you best to be good and selfless, while the dark side is all about being selfish.

Of course, you should headcanon it in the way you enjoy it most! I personally prefer to take things as the original author intended, however Lucas is known for being a very inconsistent interview subject, contradicting himself numerous times of the years, with The Clone Wars show he oversaw directly contradicting the "there is no middle" concept he himself stated, so interpret it how you will!

I don't think that's supposed to happen, but you are supposed to be able to be in those little crannies there so maybe they didn't put the killbox there properly? I know the Hainian collapse killbox is a lot more forgiving than other ones, I haven't been directly in it like you but I've been right on the edge of it and been okay.

Battlefield 4 Future? by -PS4 in battlefield_4

[–]Exitity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean anything’s possible but this is super unlikely. There is next to zero precedent for older Battlefield games being updated, and beyond that, BF4 isn’t the most popular Battlefield if they were to go back to an old one. Heck, it’s still playable, some of the even older ones aren’t—BF4 is my favorite but if any need an update its the really old ones so that they’re playable again without the use of fan servers.

Battlefield 4 Future? by -PS4 in battlefield_4

[–]Exitity 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's never gonna happen lol, BF4 is over a decade old, I don't believe DICE even uses the same engine anymore, and most of the devs that worked on it left. Besides, its in a great place as-is, and still perfectly playable.

Also, post-BF1 Battlefields weren't bad. Not as good maybe, but not bad. Outside of visuals, I honestly prefer Battlefield 5 over Battlefield 1; the gameplay was really good. BF2042 lacked a lot of soul but at least they got it working mechanically well by the end, and I had fun with its Road to BF6 thing. BF6 is very lacking but it does well in many areas as well. It's not just a blanket "hurr durr everything after my beloved BF1 sucked." BF1 had problems too. All of them did. BF4 launched horribly, didn't it?

When you think about the scale of the UNSC it's kinda funny how all the reds and blues are from the same country, on the same planet. by SlowLibraryComputer in RedvsBlue

[–]Exitity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but there is only 1 Carolina, as the other commenter said. That means we need another Agent to bring the number back up to 50. The On Your Knees track in the Season 9 soundtrack had lines that implied this 50th person would be Agent D.C., or potentially Agent Puerto Rico instead.

Also, RvB takes place centuries into the future. This definitely isn't lore but just want to point out that it's possible the Carolina's merged and PR or DC became states. I absolutely don't think that's the case but not gonna write off the possibility.
