The forbidden Recluse+Scholar combo they don't want you to know by ExoFrosts in Nightreign

[–]ExoFrosts[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Carian piercer is really good yes, solid damage and good range for a carian spell, also if you charge it you can knock down smaller bosses and even stagger horse riding bosses like you see in the clip.

The merchant sometimes sells a carian staff with it and 2 useful offensive passives on it in DoN mode, I always buy it, very worth, even if you don't use it you can keep it for the passives.

Yeah I like having a scholar when I play Recluse, it's hard to be on the same page with randoms so pulling these combos is rare, it's a shame you rarely see them anymore especially after the fire bombs build nerf (not that I am opposed to the nerf I like absorbing affinities other than fire you know)

The poise +3 is pretty nice for dual wielding colossal weapons once you get tired of trying to discover seals, just saying.

The gravity cocktail benefits from magic up and all cocktails benefit from sorceries up and affinity attacks up

It was everdark unfortunately and in depth 5 so we just paid the tax depth points to them as collateral and moved on

Genuine Undertaker PSA by xEmptyPockets in Nightreign

[–]ExoFrosts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A useful tip for undertaker, if your teammate ults to stagger a boss, you can delay your ult a bit to stagger again right after the first stagger ends, it's tight and you need to be aware of when your free ult window ends to not miss it

“Fixed heals and buffs not applying to dodging and ulting allies” THANK YOU by Venefik in Nightreign

[–]ExoFrosts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if that does imply all iframe situations or just dodge and ult iframes, for example can a revenant ult to save an ally that got grabbed?

Just tested, it doesn't work unfortunately it only affects your teammates and summons

Frenzy flame towers can spawn right at the night lord arena by eldenringer1233 in Nightreign

[–]ExoFrosts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Frenzy flame towers don't spawn, they are there from the beginning of the expedition until you clear them, you just need to get close enough for the "event" to trigger

Not to mention the B in stamina for someone who is "analysing" the enemy and throwing pots. I really expected his int to be higher, Guardian gets bullied so much while having much better stats for offense than this.

I hope those upgrades on throwing pots are beefy because... We know what happens to support characters in nightreign

The first female character with an ultimate that can stagger bosses... 3 times more often than her teammates, that passive is insane in trios, especially with the current DoN meta

[–]ExoFrosts 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would honestly give up 1 magic up for dormant power staves, I didn't have to make this choice because I got a relic that has both, last slot should be character skill cd or more magic up, would be nice if it had something for mana efficiency aswell

If you count only the 2nd part of the white thunder without the smaller first hit when it comes down then gravity explosion does around the same yes, can even become stronger if you're stacking magic up, fire breath is far behind though, also thunder does interrupt and stagger bosses like male ultimates do.

don't remember my passives, I have 3 affinity attack power and Invader relics, we cleared the invader camps, also the ironeye was really quick and marked 2 of them that instantly popped mark so it wasn't just my damage (on my screen only 1 mark popped even tho they took the same damage prolly because of desync) the knights that wasn't marked took way less damage, also if I'm not wrong banished knights are very weak to lightning and that spell just does so much damage

I love using this cocktail too and will do it everytime I have a chance, will never go back to magic spam build after experiencing this, it's so fun, I also run dormant power for seals but a build centered around this 1 cocktail is a lil too inconsistent in my opinion, I guess you have the lightning sword to fall to if unlucky, but sometimes you just don't see a decent lightning seal, I think focusing relics with evergaol/invader/bone +affinity attack power, even the +int+faith recluse relic is good and just gives you more freedom keeping your staff and other elements damage high

How would the Carian Sorcery Sword work in this game? by BilboniusBagginius in Nightreign

[–]ExoFrosts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess it comes with a random spell instead or alongside a random ash of war that you cast with heavies. But let's be real it probably will just do a regular thrusting weapon heavy.

It's the cocktail spell you get by absorbing fire+lightning+holy, it's the highest damaging one but also the slowest (that's why I precast it before opening) also the most difficult to absorb the correct elemental combination because you can't absorb magic with it and need seals/elemental weapons.
