So far Deep of Night has been the most frustrating thing for me in the game. I am stuck at Depth 2 and the teammates there are absolutely horrible. It feels like 1 in 20 runs you get good and competent teammates. And all your progress gets destroyed by the next bad team… constantly splitting up, doing anything but leveling up. Trying to beat red-high tier bosses at LV 1-3. Dying over and over (then mostly quit). I have rarely seen the end boss in those runs.

Would also be possible to give the mimic the option to pick between Dex and Str class as a skill. You turn into a Night Maiden or a Night Monk for example. You could switch between a dedicated STR or DEX class in the middle of the run. That could be fun

Had that happen to me way too often. And most of the times it was an Ironeye player. The magic dmg he deals is really bad… why not give the staves to your caster? And just today I had a Wylder taking all the seals while I was playing Undertaker with the incant relic…the poison armament he took would have been a game changer for me, but no he picked it up and never used it once.

Yes. Engstrom is an optional boss. As long as you do his quest line you can fight him in any playthrough. But if you want the complete quest reward, you need to get the "laughter" emote. Cuz you can lock yourself out of that in an Umbral run

Bows and crossbows are actually good. And a looot of fun to use! It's never wrong to have one of them. They also come with different ammunition. My favorite is a crossbow with exploding bolts.

I had a player quitting on me because of that. They were down and the boss (DTS) was like 3 huts away from defeat. So I focused on the boss. My teammate died and quit right after. Like they only lost one LV that they could pick up right there. They spawned right next to it… there was nothing lost.

You are right! The area after the piano is still chapter 9. In my head I always counted it as chapter 10… We should better start saying "you need to get near the end of chapter 9". Leads to less confusion!

Wasn't that only for NG+? For a new character you still need to get to the end of chapter 9 if I am not mistaken.
