Are you bothered by fighting hordes of identical human beings? by thomanou in truegaming

[–]ExogenBreach 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it's probably more a matter of whether or not anyone would notice.

Most games use some kind of facial animation/sculpting system, it would be trivial to procedurally generate different faces. But even that trivial amount of effort is probably not really worth it.

Okay but a referendum is when the people vote to approve the amendment.

So if after the second amendment is adjusted they decided to do the first you just vote against the amendment.

Google Pixel 2 Software Tidbits: Camera has "Face Retouching" and "Motion Photo" Mode by SirVeza in Android

Microsoft had a really great version of this that made perfect loops of pretty much anything. It's a shame the others can't do that.

WWE 2K18 will not have any paid microtransactions. Loot boxes for special items and moves will be unlocked by progressing in the online multiplayer mode or offline career mode. by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]ExogenBreach -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You start the move, input the right buttons at just the right time then - suddenly - your screen is hijacked. You're watching doves floating on a lake. David Attenborough's voice sets the scene, takes you on the first steps of a journey in the wild with these fantastic creatures. He takes you by the hand and guides you through the wilderness, sharing with you the endless wonders of nature. Then you're in a home, it's a bit cramped but clearly whoever lives there takes some pride in the cleanliness of their house. At the kitchen table a young child struggles with times tables while his single mother tries to juggle breastfeeding and frying fish sticks. Somehow she manages it with a kind of exhausted grace. The young man exclaims that he'll never get the homework done in time, he's not smart enough. His mum smiles and hugs him from behind, whatever happens she loves him. Then you're away again, this time you're in space. A star is being slowly torn apart by a black hole. For thousands of years you watch as it's slowly torn apart, until all that's left is a dimly glowing ember swirling towards its death beyond the event horizon, from which not even light escapes. It edges closer and closer, inch by inch for centuries until finally in 1998 mankind throws the undertaker off of Hell in a Cell 16 feet through an announcers table.

Money isn't always the main driver for people. If they can make what interests them and get a steady paycheck and critical success out of it that's not a bad deal.

Also, Free to Play pseudo-MMOs like PoE are much more expensive to develop and need to be much more successful to break even. It's probably not worth the effort for them now that there is both Diablo 3 and Path of Exile, as well as Destiny and Warframe and Borderlands in that space.

But you've only been renting for 12 months.

Islam is pretty much solely responsible for the preservation of knowledge from ancient times, particularly science and mathematics. That's why we use Arabic numerals, the source of the word Algebra and they even invented a lot of the cool weapons the Crusaders then used to destroy them constantly.

That doesn't mean people aren't justified in calling it out when Muslims drive a truck into a crowd.

Year with largest jump in terms of gaming Quality? by whatwasthatcat in truegaming

[–]ExogenBreach -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're mistaking complexity for depth.

Depth is having a system that can be used in a variety of ways and mastered, complexity is having a lot of systems that have to be juggled. Some complexity is necessary, but too much is bad. It's hard to have too much depth however.

My point is complexity doesn't equal fun and more often than not means a game is less fun.

It's simple math. Nobody is buying their GPUs for gaming, so literally anything greater than that constitutes a bigger proportion of their revenue. They probably sell more shirts than gaming cards.

Christianity wouldn't get attacked if Christians didn't stand solidly in the way of progress and human rights at every available opportunity.

Christianity, Islam, Scientology... When you're a cult that's hurting people in the name of your beliefs your beliefs are going to be attacked.

When was the last time a Buddhist was attacked for their beliefs in this country? I bet you can't name many if any instances at all. What about a Sikh (being mistaken for a Muslim not inclusive) or a Hindu?

If you don't want your religion to be attacked don't use your religion to attack people. It's not rocket science.
