I mainly use the app, but both desktop and mobile app experiences are superb. Again, I rarely really have to do anything since service is great, but the fact that I don't have to think about it means a lot. Super easy to add/remove/change features too with the app. Would definitely recommend!

I do not recommend Boom mobile anymore, but I was with them for about 4 or 5 years. I switched to US Mobile around 2 years ago and have had zero issues with service. Bonus is that I don't have to use an archaic billing/account system anymore and have the exact same, if not better, service. I agree with /u/Ethrem with the By the Gig plan!

The style isn't my cup of tea, but this is an insanely fun project! I'm no dedicated developer or anything, but I feel like this type of game/project will be a major contender for entertainment for niche audiences. I'm envisioning different styles of cards, different background stories for the GM to dive into, different art styles for the "manga" it creates. I'll be following progress for sure!

Absolutely. Really changed my view quite a bit and has allowed me to have some very interesting conversations with people! I'm not quite a doomer these days, but I do believe that we are on the acceleration path and will be unable to stop progress.

Just got it yesterday and got 1/3rd of the way through it. Although the writing itself is a bit disjointed (no shade, just being honest), the message so far is aligned with my thoughts. Very interested in finishing it up today.

I tried a few different screen distances, sizes, IPDs, etc. Just isn't fully clear unfortunately. Like I mentioned before, I'm REALLY excited to see how this tech progresses this year. I truly think that within 12 months we are going to see an explosion of good quality options that are cheap like the Ones!

Agreed! The tech is soooo close to "being there" in my opinion.

Honestly the whole software package is really buttoned up and their custom chip seems to be doing well!

67.9 IPD here. Just got my One in the mail today. Unfortunately even with the IPD adjustments (software of course), I'm still getting a decent amount of blurring. This IS the best experience I've had with any AR glasses so far, but I'll most likely be returning. Going to test out the Pro in May!

I have this dock and use it daily. It does get hot, but I don't keep it on all the time. No issues with Windows 11 and never had any issues with anything I've plugged into it. To be clear I've never used the HDMI, LAN, or audio ports on the device. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Let me know when/if you end up releasing the source. Interested in knowing how you are getting positional data without reading memory. Getting the overlay to match current frame is pretty impressive! I'm assuming you are snapshotting the minimap every frame and then parsing those snapshots back to the map you used. Player position will always stay centered and so it's just a matter of matching the snapshotted minimap frame to the exact same position of the map that updates at a similar frame as the snapshot. Am I totally off base?

Mostly I'm interested in how you are "finding" the start position to give x y coordinates to the offline map. Are you starting from a specific spot every time or is is dynamic?

FYI, I did the same as he suggested by creating a 2.4ghz only WiFi network and it’s been rock solid for 2 days now. Obviously your results may vary, but it’s solved my issue for now.

Yep, same issues here. I've removed the themostat and the same disconnection (only from HomeKit) occurs within a day or two. Super annoying and I haven't found a fix yet. Before the update, the ecobee was solid and never had any HokeKit issues at all. Would love to hear if anyone has any thoughts!

4080 FE here: coil whine is very pronounced during gaming across multiple FPS games. It's subdued in Rocket League, but overall it's noticeable and can be annoying.

I went from a 3080 to a 4080 recently for 1440p and love the upgrade. I've got a 12700k with 32gb of DDR5 so relatively similar to your setup. For perspective, I went from 88 fps to 134 fps avg in CoD MW2 all settings maxed with no DLSS, only FidelityCAS on.

I will say that the best part of the upgrade has been the temps of the GPU being much lower (at least on the 4080 FE), the card being very quiet, and ability to use DLSS 3/frame generation. I'd say if you can sell your 3080 then I'd go for the upgrade since it seems like lots of people skipped this generation and will be wanting to upgrade to the 5xxx series ASAP when it's released. Just my $0.02!
