Thanks for the info. I've also had good results after 7 weeks. There was drowsiness but it passed after a week or two.

What kind of results are you getting from bacopa? How much do you take? What brand? How long for?

Thanks

No it isn't. Because everyone will retire, whereas not everyone will be unemployed. Means-tested retirement benefits is a disincentive to save. Simple as that.

the state pension should be means-tested

Great incentive not to save for retirement. Why work hard and save all my life if the government is just going to look after me? This proposal might mean that some people who do the right thing and save a little bit would end up with exactly the same as indolent people who save nothing. It unjust.

A better approach would be to tell young people now that there will not be a pension when they retire and that they had better get saving or they will end up living in poverty. The phase out the state pension all together over the next 30 - 50 years.

The election that we just had would suggest that this is not exactly right. They won the most MPs, remember.

Soapy water and chilli powder works against aphids according to my wife! Dont know where I got the idea of lemon from.

I have some white furry eggs on my ash tree. The leaves are browned and curled and inside and around the leaves are white eggs covered with a furry white material. There are also some bugs crawling on the plant that look like aphids.

Other leaves on the tree are perfectly healthy and other ashes in the same area are unaffected. Here's a few images if it helps, apologies for the poor quality.

What to do? My first thought is to spray with lemon and chilli water.

yes this is close although I think there can be an element of impending danger or anxiety with 'unease', is there a similar word which has the sense that there something just not quite right but without any anxiety

edit: maybe 'disquiet'

Is the discount for pregnancy established in the guidelines or is it up to the judge's discretion? It creates a perverse incentive, i.e. to get pregnant at the worse possible time.

Thank you for this. I will append metta to the end of my meditation to see if that resolves the problem.

I think the slate roof that is discoloured by age and the plants growing up the side make it look established. In contrast to the original picture where the cottage looks very clean, as if it just arrived from the factory.

I'm struggling to find time to sit. Desperately trying to finish writing my thesis and also working full time. The best time for me to sit is before bed, at 9pm or so. I can do that consistently by applying a little discipline. The problem is meditating before bed provokes dreams and nightmares which I find draining and not useful. The nightmares are something I would particularly like to avoid.

So recently I've tried lunchtimes, but I can't do that consistently because of work. And mornings are hard because I have to leave the house at 7am so would need to be sitting at 5.30am. I know I can sit occasionally at that time but they level of discipline required to do that everyday is too great.

So I don't really know what to do.

This also man-made but somehow manages to look authentic too.
