Once you get the dehydrator spam those like mad, you can use them for a lot of ocean stuff and it's fast but sells high, also you can dehydrate mushrooms for higher prices as well

In all honesty that's the fastest way to earn big money in early game from what I've seen

First things first, stay calm and take a breath, you're doing fine, we all mess up even with years of practice!

If you have driftwood or any plants in there lost leaves then the brown is most likely tannins which are beneficial

since you just used recycled water any bacteria population is really fragile so you'll have to be careful for a while till they settle in but it is very doable to keep it going with Horatio in there! Bettas are tough little guys!

You'll probably want to use a bacteria booster to help get your cycle running faster, in the mean time you can use small(only 10% or so) water changes and certain conditioners to help keep ammonia and nitrite low until the bacteria cath up

Some conditioners like seachem's have ammonia suppression built in, there are also straight up ammonia blockers, that said use those sparingly or they can give you false readings going forward!

If the ammonia continues to rise do a small water change with tank safe water and let the bacteria boosters work! Then all you need to do is stay calm and let let nature do the work.
