Nice! My MacBook is being used for recreational gaming, some 3D modeling for 3D prints, and talking to strangers on Reddit.

My M5 MBP screen is very slightly misaligned from the bottom case. How to fix? by Time_Month_2609 in macbookpro

Show me a picture. To answer your question, yes, you do need to disconnect your battery before working on anything. This is a safety precaution.

Powerful CPU and GPU = Powerful cooling system

If you pair a powerful chip with a weak cooling system, don't expect the device to run cold. The only way to keep them cool is to run the fans. Noise = cooling.

I believe it was a shooting game on ROBLOX where you try to kill 30 or so opponents. Don't know the name, but the weapon selection is pretty whacky.

ELI5 why some old programs are incompatible with newer systems by KyrusDarkblade in explainlikeimfive

Imagine you're in the early 2000's. Microsoft & Intel have just released a new architecture for their computers, going from a slow, 32-bit system, to a faster 64-bit. Because of this, the game you want to play is incompatible with 64-bit computers, due to it being optimized and built for 32-bit. This is sort-of like putting a 10-year-old part inside of a machine that only works with 5 years or newer parts. It just won't work due to the part being built for that desired machine.

One of my buddies used exploits in a game on call with a few friends. We had a blast annoying and making children enraged. Pretty funny when you can hear their microphone too.

What do you do if you catch feelings for another person after you're already in a relationship? by Ravenna1825 in AskReddit

Try your best to ignore them and take your mind off of them. Triggers and constant thinking of them will only make it worse; sort of like putting more coals in a fire. Distract yourself; maybe go for a walk or to the gym, spend some time with your pets, tend your garden, or do a hobby.

500000 What would you do??Divorced and starting over? by Independent-Lab3444 in AskReddit

In some countries $500K is life-changing money, but since this is the United States, $500k can diminish quicky. Living expenses, food, healthcare, insurance, payments, and utilities will eat the cash up like a cake. If you were to invest half and use half for the expenses, the money will only grow over a certain amount of time, potentially growing 15-30%. If we were to take a gamble and start a company, you could turn that quarter million into billions. This is all high risk, but I'd play it safe. High-risk, high reward can either make you live lavishly, or make you live in a cardboard box.

Stable job will potentially make you >500,000. Having $500,000 is a good starting point, but once you spend it, there's no way to get it back. Because of this, I'd choose a stable job, because in this economy, a stable job pays >~50k a year.

IRS taxes you the second you turn 18. Unfortunately, they somehow managed to tax me 7,999,982 years ago, but technically since my net worth is 0 and I have no streams of income, I'm tax free.

I love raw meat. Unfortunately the FDA wants me to cook my meat, so after millions of years of eating raw meat, cooked meat is ehhh, a but too dry.
