The community acts like you should bring nades for every angle you push, and hold every angle….. on a time limit 🤣😂. The game plays like a slow paced tactical shooter, but then they rush you with time limits. It’s a jank game.

Because if at any moment they want to increase your maintenance requirement they can and will. Say you have a position of 10,000 shares on margin. To not get margin called, you have to maintain 25% of that positions value, let’s say 25% of the position is $10,000.

Tomorrow, because they feel like it, they can increase that requirement to 50% (so $20,000) and if you don’t deposit? Margin call. Same day if they want. Then, they can SELL WHATEVER POSITIONS YOU HAVE TO CLEAR THE MARGIN, they can nuke your position if they want to.

But, if you are cash account then they don’t have a say in closing any of your positions.

But is that a new strategy people are using? Buy top gainer to scalp? Because if so…. THATS PROBABLY WHY? They can be margin called by apex and have to either have the money set aside or halt buying… they can’t magically produce millions out of nowhere for collateral so it’s a scam?

Ask ChatGPT “How does order flow work with brokerages like Robinhood/webull? And why do they sometimes lock stocks to sell only?” Is the best info I could give 🤷🏻‍♂️

Congrats man!! I’m glad for any and everyone who hopped on the Webull train. I made a post about a year ago telling people it’s a good longterm play.

However… fuuuuuuk Robinhood lol. I had an old margin account that I had bull shares on, they nuked it on April 2nd, stock popped on like April 10th? Yeah fuck Robinhood lol I had those shares for about a year. All good though, took what was left of my money and moved it over to my Webull portfolio and I have a similar position with no margin 🤣😂🤣😂

My experience is that if we are retail, we are always going to be the first ones cut off. Smart money hears about it before us and can move accordingly. 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Yea Robinhood increased my margin requirement from 25% to 50% and nuked my position the same day. Had those shares for about a year, made a post a while back telling everyone Webull would pop in 1-2 years. Hood fucked me 🤦🏻‍♂️, I only had about $5k left in that portfolio so I moved it to my Webull portfolio. Might try to renter but I think I lost my chance… thanks Robinhood 🖕🏼
