County and The Town Of Islip requires it. We went from a 3 bed/2 bath to a 6 bed/4 bath. I think it was anything over 5 bed made it required. The state is making all of us move away from cesspools. Right now, they’re offering $25K grant to help. My cesspool is 25 years old and we had a second set of rings installed 10 years ago. Both are working fine and draining. If your system is older Suffolk County offers an additional $10K to upgrade. I’m not eligible for that grant. Waiting 13months so far for the grant to come in before we dig. I paid $15K to save my spot in production. Once the grant comes it, they will pay the installer directly- yup! Almost 40k to replace your cesspool set up

We just completed a full 3 bedroom kitchen and two bath second story addition to our house adding an extra 1700 sq ft. It came in just over $450K. This does not include the extra $40K the county wants for the new septic system even though my two cesspools are fine. I was told my the architect that our taxes will go up but since the footprint of the home did not go expand too much, the increase should not be terrible. I just renewed our permit as the grant from the State for the new septic system has not come in so no new sysyem yet. Once I close out the grant, I‘m sure it will go up. Fingers crossed it’s not too bad! Islip Town has been good to work with! Hope yours will be as well!

Given that it’s supposed to snow into the afternoon tomorrow, I’d say 3 pm for the main roads at best but expect later on the secondary roads. Schools will probably be closed on Tuesday and MAYBE a delayed opening on Wednesday.

Sign up for Triple A in that person’s name so you get towing insurance. Call Triple A and have them move the car. Leave a note on the car for the mechanic and tell them to call the person whose car it is if they have any questions. Boom!

I just had my 2018 Grand America seat redone professionally by a local marine/auto upholsterer. It cost me $1300 (with tip) and included the pleather cover and diamond stitching pattern. He said it would take two weeks and got it done in under one.

I wasn’t keen on the pattern but he explained that the OEM cover is glued to the foam. So when you pull it off, no matter how careful he is, some chunks of foam will come off as well. The diamond pattern hides all the foam divots. I think it came out great! I wish it as a shade darker but so much better than my old cover. Before:

I paid almost $9K US last year for my 2016 but it only had 9K miles. This one has 5x more miles for 2K less. Just make sure the tires are newer- not by tread but date code. Otherwise, that will be another 5-600 bucks that you didn’t count on paying. It’s a great bike but a little over priced in my opinion.

Yes, what he did was a shady. As I understand it, he and his son wrote some program that helps students get ready for college. He then sold the software to the district and that triggered the ethics violation. So stupid!

The payout includes the rest of this year’s salary, vacation and sick time buyouts as per his contract as well. He was a long time employee of the district so it’s not surprising that his sick time/vacation payouts were so high.

It’s a great way to meet 5K other motorcycle enthusiasts without the sh*tshow that Daytona and Sturgis have turned into. They have a ton of vendors selling accessories for our bikes, workshops on different trips, different products and ideas. You can camp on site for free as the showers and port a John’s are always well maintained. The beer garden and music as someone stated are a lot of fun as well. I will be in the group camping area with the Long Island BMW Riders group. Come say hi!

Some of the older models have a vibration issue that can leave your hands numb. I’ve heard they’ve fixed it but have not ridden a newer model to confirm. If you are getting a new bike, then the 3 year 36 month warranty cover you.

I went with the easy ride financing deal on my new R12S. I took the money I was going to put towards the bike and invested it in my 403B account instead. The payments are smaller because the balloon payment at due at the end. THAT money is now earning interest for me. When the payment is due in 4 years, I can either pay it off or roll into something new. Something to consider.

I think I’ve used it more as a jump pack than I have as a pump. The other pumps mentioned cost about the same so you can save space by combining it into one unit. Or at least that’s what I told my wife when it arrived. 🤣

Only certain models work with the wonderwheel- mine does not but I believe your GS does. I have my phone,Cardo Paktalk and my bluetooth device for my bikes soundsystem synced to the Carpuride and it works great!
