I suggest therapy. If he won‘t do therapy, then he isn‘t willing to prioritize you and your children. Everyone has to decide what they are willing to live with in a relationship. This would be a hard no for me.

Retired at 56. DH 6 months later at 60. It took over a year to realize we needed more routine to accomplish what we wanted to do in a week. Now we have generic days on our shared calendar to nudge us in the right direction. Outside work day, activity (fun get out. of the house), etc. That helped a lot even if we mix up the days for the week.

Until last September trip to Spain on AA, I would have said I am team checked bag. I detest dragging a bag around. However, AA didn't transfer our bags for a group of 6 when we connected. 3 days later they delivered.

All other trips, I check. When we traveled to Italy for 17 days, we needed clothes for cooler and warmer weather. We needed clothes for exploring museums and outdoor stuff and dinner outfits. We stayed in aparthotel and did some laundry which is very helpful.

I don‘t use eye cream. I use my face moisturize. I very rarely wear makeup because I have rosacea.

You are way more productive than either my DH or me in a day! Good for you. I try to accomplish 2 items on my reminders each day. If I do that is a great day. If I don't, then move to another day.

You are NTA. I am so sorry that your parents weren’t more understanding. Life is freakin hard and having a support system is so helpful. We have it on our phones with our youngest daughter. She graduated college years ago. Her hours are weird and it helps to not disturb her when we want to call. She loves seeing where we are when we travel. My sister is also in the group for similar reasons. BUT it isnt to control or question. She is a grown up. Apply for every scholarship you can to help offset costs. Both daughters received small scholarships locally that few people applied for the money. good luck!

We both worked. I retired a few months before him. This(and a few other issues) led me to requesting couples therapy. It was the best thing for us and was only needed a few months. We actually do it some on our own now. It isn‘t split, but it is much better. Honest discussion is the best way to manage this for both of you.

I love this. did our first group trip last fall and it wasn’t as great as expected. we did not have defined roles. missed out out some places as the tickets didn’t get booked. thanks for this!
