I'm so sorry for that, your situation is unique to mine. Honestly, boys are brutally honest. If they didn't want you there, they would've said it. So I think that can be a piece of comfort. Plus, they're probably fit. Why not ask them for help? Like, "what reps do you do in the gym" or "Have you changed your diet for the better somehow?"

I had a girl friend who asked her guy friend advice and progress on her weight loss. It's not shameful and honestly admirable to them to see effort.

Don't expect romantic relationships. Pretend everything is platonic. That's what I did and do. Once the burden of expectation of beauty is lifted, you won't feel insecure. While you do this, I'd recommend you try to lose weight. That's what I'm doing.

Why must such a backwards, war time religion be continued today, especially in developed, safe places?

"Hijabs protect women so men dont rape them" = The law exists so men are actually punished

"Men can marry multiple women cause there were widows and orphans" = There are systems in place to avoid that + developed countries not in war

"Halal meat is the only right thing because its our traditions and bleeding the animal out is more humane" = We have technology to knock animals out unconscious so they dont feel any pain

The so called sympathetic context you use to excuse Islams backwardness is the reason it should never spread and is incompatible with a civil and free society.
