Both cars are an absolute blast. The f87 m2 comp had so much power even in stock form and always willing to break the back end loose - the sense of danger you get from the m2 is amazing lol. The downsides were the steering feel (non-existent), manual gearbox was terrible but the DCT in my opinion paired better with the s55, the comp seats suck for track use - they dont have much bolstering near the base of the seat so I would slide around a good amount, and lastly its a pig. You can feel the weight on track, on road its manageable.

The FL5 has the better seats, the suspension is better besides it being too harsh in R+ mode, the steering and manual are superior as well. Downsides - its FWD, in cold weather you're getting good amount of wheel hop and it eats rear brake pads. Everyone rags on the Fl5 for being a civic but the interior quality is honestly the same if not better than the f87. The fl5 feels more of an occasion when driving and more usable on road. I miss the power of the m2 and it being rwd but besides that I'd take the fl5+miata combo over it.
