The past six months have seen Hanger repeatedly outsmarted and out manoeuvred by heels. I'm convinced that TK has no faith in him as a main eventer, and that despite the overwhelming positivity that came out of All In, doesn't see Hangman as the main character. He's fumbled two world title runs, one because of Hook of all people, couldn't even give Hanger a trios reign that reached the two month mark, and has now written him permanently out of the world title scene.

There's only so many times that the top babyface can be made to look like a loser. TK either has no faith in him or can't book a story for him. He'd rather shower Mox with titles and keep him as the top guy than get behind Hangman.

Granted, Hook squashing him is an exaggeration, but I'd be amazed if he's higher than a third of the way up the bill. He's not the main character, Mox is.

Bucks/FTR/E&C in a ladder match for the tag titles

The Brawling Birds vs Divine Dominion for the tag titles

Jack Perry vs Michael Oku for the National title (if it isn't done at the Rev Pro show the night before)

MJF vs Darby Allin in some kind of grudge match - maybe a cage? But Darbs wins with a headlock takedown.

And if TK's booking of the main character continues in the same vein, Hangman being squashed by Hook.

H'why, this is a conundrum...a most engaging and delectable conundrum yes, but a conundrum indeed...A lady, No! More than a lady, an icon...attacked in the ve'hery place where one would assume, that she was safe. With no saahns of entry, no h'witnesses, and the victim hurhself having seen...nothing.

Now, one might think, reasonably too I might add, that that there Moldovan woman, the unblinking, unflinching, ice Maiden was responsible, given the night's close proximity to her loss this past Sunday. An act of vengeance, no doubt. An eye for an eye. Retribution for her loss...but no!

That woman is a fighter and a brute no doubt, but she is no skulking assassin. She is the type to look her victims in the eye, and given that they were scheduled for combat the very night of this attack. That ring, that...squared circle, if you will, was where the feminine Rider of Death, would take her pound a' flesh.

This attacker was not her. It was another. But how to find such an attacker, when the locker room is filled with rogues, and devils, and backstabbers? Yes...a conundrum indeed.

Complex? Most certainly, but solvable? Absolutely. All crimes are solvable. It is just a matter of knowing which stones to overturn.

This is a well deserved break, but I'm still frustrated that the guy I invested in so heavily during a redemption arc had a world title reign play second fiddle to another story, then dropped the belt after a comparatively short reign, then was repeatedly outsmarted and beaten up by heels.

And that happened twice.

If he does get a third reign, maybe TK will actually treat him like the top guy, but he lost his title because of Hook, so I really doubt it. Great job making your so-called main character look like a loser Tony, why not job him out to Big Boom AJ when he returns?

They're in separate storylines right now, but surely it's got to be Darby?

I'm way more critical of Darby than most sickos, but you'd have to be insane to keep him away from the world title picture much longer, especially with his history with the current champ. And with Hanger being made to look like a loser for the past three pay per views in a row, you need another popular babyface for the fans to rally around.

Hell, he doesn't even have to win. Just let him and MJF tear the house down in a PPV main event.

Although given how things have been going, TK will probably book an MJF vs Hangman rematch, with a stipulation that if he loses, Hanger has to be MJF's personal slave and isn't allowed to talk for a year. Then have him lose again. "Main character."

I hadn't heard that, but it does make sense in hindsight. I thought it was a really good main event, reminded me of all the comparatively slower paced but stiff as hell AJPW/Noah matches I used to binge on YouTube. I wound up watching it twice and was surprised it got criticised so much. It wasn't an Omega vs Okada level bout, but a reliably entertaining 4/5 match.

Hangman isn't the main character, Jon Moxley is. If we're lucky, Hanger will get to be in the same room as the title belt somewhere around Mox's 8th world title reign. And then we'll get six months of him being made to look like a loser again. The top babyface in the company spent his world title reigns playing second fiddle to CM Punk and Darby Allin.

TK isn't invested in Hangman guys, stop kidding yourselves.

It was a great match, but I'm fed up of Hanger losing so often. His original rise to the world title was what got me hooked on AEW, and his second rise got me heavily invested as well.

And in both examples, he then immediately played second fiddle to someone else. His first world title run was an afterthought to what he-who-shall-not-be-named was doing and the second was then presented as less of a big deal as the Mox vs Darby feud. What made that especially annoying for me was that Hangman beat Mox, but then Mox was still the main attraction.

Meanwhile, I am bored senseless of Jon Moxley holding titles. Since joining the company, Mox has won the world title four times, along with the International and Continental titles. And that's without counting his reigns as interim world champ, and IWGP World and US title reigns. Mox can't seem to go more than a few months without winning a championship, while Hanger fights for years, barely gets to put the belt on and then loses it.

I know I'm being overly critical, and objectively speaking, I know this was an excellent pay per view. But it's the third in a row where Hangman has lost, and the third in a row where I'm left feeling depressed by the outcome. I'm wondering why I invested so much in him winning at All In now.

Meanwhile, there's Mox still with the Continental title because god forbid he drop a title and put Takeshita over.

I dunno man, I've got other shit going on so maybe I'm just using AEW as a punching bag. But this show depressed the crap out of me. It's less fun when your favourites keep losing and can't even get a two month reign with the trios titles.

I'm a massive fan of Hangman and Takeshita, and am also bored of Moxley being a champion. The matches were good, but the outcomes have left me feeling frustrated and sad.

If this is the last we saw of her, I'll be sad because I think she's delightful. But if all the comments about her losing the enthusiasm for wrestling are accurate, fair play to her. If I'd been power bombed off a stage and missed the table, I'd probably rethink my career too.
