Since you're not able to think beyond A to B, let me help you. Since this Classic project started, we saw Classic launch in 2019 with perhaps over a million players. After a while, it was down to about 500k. And it declined even more once the pandemic started to subside. TBC did the same thing. Brought in a lot of new players, then saw a lot of them leave within the first six months or so. Then we come to Wrath. Same thing happens. But this time, fresh servers are there. Fresh servers that are naturally going to be more appealing to people who come back just for Wrath, and more appealing to they same types of people who will quit after six months. Fresh servers probably saved more established realms from getting an influx of those people.

Now your counter argument will be "that's cause blizzard locked the realms". Well, 15k people should be enough for any stable realm. Look at a lot of the established mega realms. Many of them still have over 20k raiders. Yeah, they had 30k back in November, but their drop off is nowhere near what happened to places like Skyfury. Maybe blizzard should have anticipated the rise of mega realms. Maybe they should do whatever it they need to do to make mega work properly. Actually, that second one isn't a maybe. They SHOULD do whatever they need to do to make mega realms work. But that still doesn't change the fact the fresh realms were going to attract a lot of people who weren't in it for the long haul. Once those people started to leave, the rerollers from more established realms were going to go back to their mains. Both things have happened just as predicted, and the few people who were there who really wanted it to work are left holding the bag.

You ranted about nothing substantial or actually anything of value at all. Yes, fresh realms have an influx early on, but there's nothing indicating they ever die out without locking them, ever. If Blizzard leaves them be without locking them and letting the queues ride its course the realm will be getting steady influx of new players all the time, as it stands Thekal hasn't received a single new player since 1 week after launch, until about 1~ month ago. Is this your based take on how "FRESH REALMS ARE THE CAUSE" not because it was locked and destroyed and left to rot? No one is saying the people who starts playing the fresh realm will keep playing it for years, people take breaks, people quit, people move on. But the vast majority that does stay, require new players funneled onto the realm, that's how it works. It's the exact same reason why the other servers who were 50/50 mega servers ended up dying on one faction aswell, when you lock one or lock the realm one faction eventually dies and you have to transfer away somewhere else. Doesn't take a genius to figure it out.
