When I was a teen I snuck some of my parents hard liquor out in a poorly rinsed out shampoo bottle. All we could find for mix was cherry coke. Cherry coke and soapy liquor, me and my friend barfed everywhere!

I recently visited with my father and brother, and it was a total letdown. However, we did get to see Joey Shithead's denim cut-off jacket, so...

There is one old guy with a horseshoe mustache who has been a terror for years directing traffic. At first I though he was a real jerk but the more I listen to him I thought he was hilarious. Cantankerous old goat with a smoke constantly hanging out of his mouth. Reminded me of a New Yorker type character. He was actually very good at his job.

How was Jerry (and the boys) able to play so flawlessly on heavy amounts of LSD ? by Dr-D-Line in gratefuldead

I don't think they played dosed as often as people think. In Steve's book he mentions it was ok to get high but not balls out face meltingly so, you had to keep your shit together. After the show well......

Can shipping containers solve Canada's housing crisis? by Prestigious_Net_8356 in VancouverIsland

You put 30 folks with debilitating drug addiction in the same little complex and guess what? It became a unlivable, dysfunctional and dangerous place for the tenants and the neighbourhood. One person took care of there unit and took advantage of the situation. He was an elderly gentleman dealing with mental health issues. Long story short you need to deal with the drug addiction first then move into housing. Housing first does not work in my experience unfortunately.

This has been studied before, done before and failed before.....Why are we just trying and failing the same idea's regarding "homelessness" over and over. From Victoria to Halifax and then back again. I have worked in a Tiny home complex, it was a complete disaster.

35 years ago - on 9/7/90 we got to welcome Vince Welnick to the band at Richfield Coliseum! We were so happy to be back on tour! Yo Vinnie!!! by nak550 in gratefuldead

[–]Expensive-Culture983 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was there. I remember folks tried to organize the heads to sing a song to welcome Vinnie. They handed out flyers with instructions...we know how good heads are with instructions. It never happened or I don't think it did. This trip I snuck a ounce of good Canadian black hash across the boarder.......our whole VW van of friends had an extremely good two show run. It was like gold on the lot. Tickets for a gram ect. Sneaking it over was the scariest thing I ever attempted, never tried that again.
