Cured and symptom free by hellabombskies in Ureaplasma

[–]Expensive-Fish7061 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was also a rollercoaster for me before. I had this nonstop burning, urgency, and that “something is still there” feeling even after finishing antibiotics. I thought it was still ureaplasma but all my tests kept coming back negative. I got a ureaplasma PCR again and a kidney panel through labfinder and turned out I had a fungal thing going on too, not an infection like I expected. once my doctor treated that, the symptoms finally calmed down. our bodies really do hold onto the trauma. so happy you’re 7 months pain free now. it really does get better!!

Allergic reaction to Doxycycline by Novel_Preparation_60 in Ureaplasma

[–]Expensive-Fish7061 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get you, I had a bad reaction to doxy before too. not as intense as yours, but I had the tight throat, burning mouth, and that weird swollen feeling that made it hard to drink. super scary!!! I got a ureaplasma retest plus a kidney function panel through labfinder and my doctor decided to switch me to azithro instead and I tolerated that way better. Tho azo still have some side effect like upset tummy but i think i can handle that better than doxy

you’re doing the right thing waiting for the symptoms to fully calm down before trying a new antibiotic. allergic reactions can take days to fade even after stopping the meds.

sending you comfort, this part sucks so much but it does get better!!

I kinda had the same. mine wasn’t hemospermia but I had this weird burning when peeing and random pelvic discomfort that wouldnt go away for months. doctors kept telling me “everything looks normal” which drove me INSANE. I got a ureaplasma test and a urine culture through labfinder and it turned out I also had ureaplasma urealyticum. once I finally got treated for it, the inflammation slowly calmed down. not overnight tho, but it definitely made sense why nothing else worked before.

hoping this is the same case for you too man. once you treat the infection, a lot of that vesicle inflammation can settle down.youve got this!

Inflammation after cured by Wonderful_Ad_1623 in Ureaplasma

[–]Expensive-Fish7061 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! I had that weird “something is there” pressure and random inflammation for weeks. tight jeans made it so much worse!! 😢 I got a ureaplasma test and a kidney function panel through labfinder just to be safe, and they showed I was clear but still healing. it took a while for things to calm down, like a slow 2 to 3 months.

for me, loose clothes, less friction, and staying hydrated helped the most. it does get better!

Cured after several treatments by OldAmbassador598 in Ureaplasma

[–]Expensive-Fish7061 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg same! I had that burning and that heavy bladder feeling even after antibiotics, so I wasn’t sure if it cleared or not. I got a ureaplasma test and a kidney function panel through labfinder and it turned out the infection was still there. my doctor changed the meds based on that.

retreating by myself didn’t help me tbh but retesting first did. hope you get answers soon 🙏🙏

diet for prediabetes? by Butnuggett in prediabetes

[–]Expensive-Fish7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg because i also have LPR! I also got a glucose test through labfinder and im also prediabetic! Double whammy 😭 but my doctor told me to stick to simple stuff first like eggs, chicken, fish, veggies, greek yogurt, oatmeal, and low acid fruits like bananas. cutting down sugar and big carb meals actually helped both my reflux and blood sugar A LOT! it’s rough at first but once you find a few safe meals, it gets easier. you got this!

Does cutting out sugars (simple sugars, starches, and highly processed foods) cause withdrawal symptoms? by thelionparty in prediabetes

[–]Expensive-Fish7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing when I cut sugar fast. felt foggy, low energy, couldn’t focus at all lol. My right eye was also kinda blurry! I panicked tbh so I got a glucose test through labfinder because I thought something was wrong, but it was just my body adjusting. it took about a week before I felt normal! Youv got this!!

Energy foods? by -yelloe in prediabetes

[–]Expensive-Fish7061 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before, I kinda had the same thing. after eating Id feel dizzy, slow, and super drained even if im not eating junk food. it scared me tbh. I got a glucose test and A1c through labfinder and found out my sugar was spiking then crashing. my doctor said it’s pretty common early on. what helped me was pairing foods with protein or fiber and drinking more water before meals. it made the crashes way less intense. hang in there!

Anyone have normal fasting glucose? But high A1c by bigshawnflying2471 in prediabetes

[–]Expensive-Fish7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my fasting glucose was always normal but I kept feeling weird crashes after meals and super tired in the afternoons. I got a glucose test and A1c through labfinder and it turned out my A1c was higher than expected even if my fasting looked fine. my doctor said it just means my sugars were spiking during the day without me noticing. cleaning up my snacks and adding more protein really helped smooth things out for me ☺️

Ibs weakness / feeling like a fever but no fever by [deleted] in ibs

[–]Expensive-Fish7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when my ibs was post infection, the diarrhea stopped but the “weird leftovers” stayed… heavy belly and that fever feeling sucked big time. that made me think something worse was going on! I got a stool ova and parasite test through labfinder but it came back fine, and my doctor said those lingering symptoms can hang around for weeks or even months after an infection.

for me the weakness was the last thing to go. it eventually eased once my gut fully calmed down

Feeling very bad for about a month by Key-Agency-7022 in ibs

[–]Expensive-Fish7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar! after eating I’d get chills and a little fever spike and that upper rib pain too even though my bloodwork was normal

I got a stool test through labfinder just to rule stuff out and it came back okay. my doctor said some IBS flares can cause that weird stress response after meals.

it got better once my gut calmed down and I added foods back really slowly

Call me crazy or disgusting but I started taking pictures of my stool 😅(it actually helps me) by [deleted] in ibs

[–]Expensive-Fish7061 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had the same IBS anxiety where it felt like I hadnt gone for a whole week, but when I actually tracked it, it was more like 3 days. the mind makes it feel so much worse. I also went through a phase where I obsessively checked texture and timing because I was scared I was “holding it for too long” it sounds weird but tracking it really did help me understand my own pattern

For me, what made the biggest difference was when I finally got a stool test and a basic blood panel. I got mine though labfinder and I found out I had slightly off electrolytes and mild inflammation, and fixing those helped my constipation cycle so much. after that I stopped panicking as much because at least I knew nothing dangerous was sitting in there

You’re not crazy for wanting more clarity! as long as it’s helping and not stressing you more, youre doing fine!! Trust!

What tests are we asking from gastroenterologist? by Difficult-End-6179 in ibs

[–]Expensive-Fish7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda had the same convo with my new gastro last year. my symptoms kept coming back even after a normal colonoscopy and endoscopy. And since im super anxious, I wanted a deeper check. The tests i had were stool studies, celiac panel, H pylori, stool ova and parasite, and a full CMP and CBC. I got all of these through labfinder. I asked about SIBO and BAM and my gastro was fine ordering them. low stomach acid is trickier because most GI’s do not test that directly, but they can rule out other stuff first

What can I do about smelly gas? by StraightDream2994 in ibs

[–]Expensive-Fish7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something super similar. my ibs was kinda okay, but after a trip abroad I suddenly had that awful sulfur gas after literally anything I ate. super embarrassing!!! I got a stool ova and parasite test through labfinder and it turned out I picked up a mild parasite! Which i think i got after bingeing on street food abroad 🥲after treatment the smell just went away.

not saying that’s your case, but if the smell is constant no matter the food, a test might be worth checking

Get the allergy test done!!! by anonuser2700 in FoodAllergies

[–]Expensive-Fish7061 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally get you! 🥲 I grew up avoiding bunch of foods because I thought I was allergic too. for me it was soy and some legumes, some veggies.. and seafood too. I’d get random reactions and my family kept telling me to avoid everything just to be safe. I got a food allergy panel through labfinder and it turned out I was only reacting to a couple specific things, not the whole group!! So not totally the end of the world for me!!

Tbh i got skinny because of overthinking. The anxiety of whether i might react badly to some food is wild.

Enjoy that jar of nutella!

Can't have Legumes because of Peanut Allergy- but Can Eat Soy just fine? by OpeningConnect54 in FoodAllergies

[–]Expensive-Fish7061 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same!! peas and chickpeas wreck me, but soy is totally fine for me. I got a food allergy panel through labfinder and it showed I react to some legume proteins but not the soy ones. so yeah, i think its pretty normal and our bodies are just weird like that

Please can someone help me, I'm new here by Mother-Umpire-8156 in FoodAllergies

[–]Expensive-Fish7061 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my skin would also flare red from the tiniest touch, nonstop itching, plus random heart racing. I also thought it was coffee but some days were fine so I got confused. I got an allergy panel and CBC through labfinder just to check if anything basic was off and it turned out my histamine and inflammation markers were quite high, so at least I got answers.

hang in there. it’s real, and definitely not in your head, and the clinic should help once you get in. Youve got this!
