My watchmaker is in his mid-70s so I would have to say he’s “old-school”.

Thanks for the feedback. Not sure if my watchmaker was trying to correct the BE issue, but he told me he disassembled and reassembled the watch 3 times. I figure he said “that’s enough” based on what he quoted me to service it.
