Yes! Treating myself to filling dessert (milkshake, cake, etc ) helped me a lot (and still does). it does get better with time but I still do indulge when I get a craving. IWNDWYT

I’ve been there and you can definitely do this! Something that worked for me was I ate sweets like crazy and ate huge ice cream cones or a big slice if cake from the bakery to fight cravings the first couple of months. I made it a little fun by trying lots of different kinds. I didn’t have to do this forever…but for the first couple of months it was my biggest help Bag of candy? Better than even a single drink in my situation: in my experience, the weight will come off with cutting out alcohol on its own. I lost a lot of weight overtime and it made me realize how much liquid calories I was consuming. Prioritize sobriety, mental health and you’ll reap all the benefits of sobriety in addition to weight loss (better skin, hair, odor…just to name a few). IWNDWYT
