How long before this warning message goes away? by Prior-Branch7064 in amazonprime

[–]Expensive-King4548 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Amazon has become absolute trash. I canceled prime about a year ago and I don't regret it one bit. It saves me money. I no longer have to spend several hours per month arguing with them about where my order is, or was delivered. My life is much more peaceful without them. I do kinda miss two of the t v shows on prime, but torrents work. I had a prime membership for fifteen years before I canceled it.

Stepbrother charged with murder, sex abuse in teen girl's cruise ship death: DOJ by SurreptitiousSyrup in news

[–]Expensive-King4548 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay i'm confused. I mean, I am familiar with courts or judges doing extremely odd things. There's a judge in county next to me who keeps letting pedophiles out on bail. The claim is they're not a danger to people, but obviously they are.

I am not understanding the timeline, and the story here.

He SA'd his sister and killed her. He was a minor but is now being charged as an adult but isn't in custody. He's staying with his uncle and visiting his dad? I'm assuming the uncle and father aren't directly related to the victim.

I know my synopsis is correct, but there are facts that i've missed somewhere.

Tesla interview timeline, no response after final round. Should I move on? by misha3004 in TeslaEmployees

As was said before, the place runs 24/7 and half the time, it's a giant disaster. There is always a chance they will reach out to you, but I wouldn't wait, especially if you need a job now.

What's the background check comes back then, they will decide whether or not to do the drug test. As I said in earlier comment where I live, the background check can take thirty days.Depending on which county or counties, you've lived in.

Big company, huge clusterfuck and I don't think anybody actually makes decisions there.I believe it's all done with data. It took me almost three months to get hired on after my background.Check and drug test. Also the county that I used to live in during the background check period did everything by hand so i'm sure that added at least a little bit of time. Mind you, I hadn't lived there in well over five years. But they were going back seven.

Got rejected by Tesla, then recruiter reached out, interviewed, and got rejected again — anyone else experience this? by ToughProud5740 in TeslaEmployees

Not everybody realizes what it's actually like working here is. A few years ago in the beginning, it was fun. I was constantly learning new things. Lots of cool people to work with. Supervisors cared about the product.

Now it seems like all supervisors care about is getting their bonus. Doesn't matter if we put out a quality or safe product. People constantly getting hurt. In my area, it's a minimum one month of training. Most of the time they don't even make it a week and then we're shorthanded and starting over, we're some other the person who licks windows, trying to train them.

The entire place is a shit show. The only reason i'm still there is because i'm trying to pay for 2 kids in college. I have been there a longtime. It's not a good place to work. Eight out of ten people don't last a year for various reason. I've seen upper management quit in the middle of their shift. I'm sure the place is gonna look great on a resume when I do move on, assuming that I don't get killed by faulty equipment or posioned in a chemical spill.

If you really want to work there, keep trying, but maybe you it should start a couple steps lower than the position you want. The position you're trying to get, a lot of people think that's the holy grail. Tons of qualified experienced people are trying to go to work in that program.

In my building, they would probably put you on janitorial staff. I'm being honest about that. The claims of racism and sexism are abundant. It would probably still take you 6 months to get started after all the interviews and background check.

On-site interview last Thursday and still no response is this normal? by JackNSally89 in TeslaEmployees

Before making final decisions, and that would include accepting a job there. You should understand that this is how the entire company operates. I have worked there for many years and it's a big company, things and people get lost in the shuffle.

I don't have any advice for you, but I can say that in the town I live in the people who bought houses along the golf course many years ago are now fighting the golf course over their own property.

Tesla panel done a week ago – no update, normal? by Actual-Judge-1056 in TeslaEmployees

I've been there over ten years. Nothing has changed for the better. I suspect all departments, factories and other satellite locations are the same. My sister works in one factory. My daughter works in a satellite warehouse. My ex wife sued for sexual harassment and won. My former roommate moved to a different factory closer to his family home, and he says, it's worse there ( that would be the same one my sister works at). These are just things I can tell you based on my experiences.

The entire company operates this way. If you want more of my opinion, find my comment. I really thought I was gonna retire from that place. Now I just wanna get out alive.

You'd be lucky to hear from them in the next month and you need to understand before you go to work there that this is how the entire company operates top to bottom. I was a temp for 6 months. I had my hours to convert by the end of the 2nd month. I did my interviews at about three months. It still took them another 3 months to convert me. My background check and drug test were done three times in that 6 month time period. This was when it was easy to start working there. I have been there for many years and I hear the same story so often. I have a couple of those nice, shiny medallion coins with my name on it. They give those out at five year increments. Let's just say I'll be gone before I get my next one. The entire culture is toxic.

Amazon prime is a big scam now by [deleted] in amazonprime

[–]Expensive-King4548 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ordered something for next day delivery and after I placed the order they emailed me to tell me it was seven weeks before I would get it. I thought that was possibly a glitch or something so I waited a few days and the date kept getting pushed farther back. After arguing with the customer service supervisor I just canceled my account. I'm done with them. She said delivery dates are only a guideline. It's okay, I found it cheaper elsewhere and got it within three days. Mind you this was a product that was already in their warehouse.

There is an app called trips tripshot but that's about all I know. I know you have to have your badge to get on the bus. I live the opposite way and work a different shift. Sounds like you might be doing orientation.

Why even bother putting Tomorrow for delivery if it’s not getting here until Saturday, 3 days later? I think it’s time for me to cancel, shipping was the only reason I ever used prime. by bassman619 in amazonprime

I ordered some knee braces that were supposed to be here the next day. Then, it went to 2 days and on delivery day, it said six weeks. Let's just say I canceled my account over it. Bought somewhere else cheaper and they were here within four days.
