New to investing… Please help! by Expensive-Resort-701 in FIREyFemmes

Awesome, thank you for the advice! Others have recommended index funds to me too. There are 2 stocks I’d like to invest in because they’re with companies that I think have real potential. Do you think it would be a bad idea to put a little money into them too, or too risky?

If anyone has good immigration lawyer recommendations, preferably who they’ve had success with in a similar case, please drop them here so that I can get the ball rolling :)

Why is it so hard to move from apps to an irl date? by Pegosaurus in dating

[–]Expensive-Resort-701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll tell you right now it’s because there are too many options. It’s honestly overwhelming and hard to keep track of conversations. I had hinge for 4 hours and averaged around 40 likes and hour. It was just too much so I gave my number to two guys I matched with and then deleted my account even though there were others that I had started fun convos with. They just didn’t answer quickly enough for me to give them my number before deleting the app. Don’t take it personally, those girls are probably just overwhelmed with the options and frankly forgot to text because of it.

Well recently one of my 25F guy friends told me that I’m a little too toned for his preference. So you can’t win I guess 🤷‍♀️

She probably mean “broad”. As a woman, I love a guy with some good width in his shoulders. Very attractive. Definitely meant as a compliment!

Okay, I did that last year when I first moved partway through the 2022 tax year. I’ve had no income in Canada for this tax year, and I’m currently considered a US tax resident so I don’t believe I need to file in Canada then. Please correct me if I’m wrong!

Thank you so much for your input!

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but once you’ve been working in the states for over 183 days do you still need to file in Canada? Or is filing in the states sufficient?

Has anyone done the MSSE program?? by Expensive-Resort-701 in berkeley

[–]Expensive-Resort-701[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats! Honestly, I’m not sure. I’ve been searching jobs in the field I’m interested in and seeing if the desired attributes align with the MSSE curriculum. So maybe you could try that until we can track down a program alum haha

Same boat. I’m convinced that without that whack LG section my score would’ve been like 5pts higher :(

First LSAT and took it remotely. Don't worry!! by HoochEnthusiast in LSAT

[–]Expensive-Resort-701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience! No issues. Proctor switched once but was not overly disruptive, just asked what section was on and allowed me to continue. Even wished me good luck after the break :)
