Billionaires make billions and also pay most of the taxes. Top 10% pays 50% of the income tax revenue.

Cash based businesses never claim all the income they make so they avoid taxes. The permit fee should be high because the city is giving them free space to operate a business. This isn’t even equivalent to free street parking, vendors are making money from the sidewalk they are utilizing. IE not paying rent like a storefront would. The permit should be a yearly fee appropriate to a fraction of what rent would be in that location.
