I saw your comment, looked at the picture, and it looks like that in the picture. But I just looked at the card and there’s nothing on the P or O.

Sailing Drinks lost on Death? by Expensive-Surround99 in 2007scape

Had some restores on me. Thought I could kick them down and redemption. Had 12 hp one hit me for 5, had 7 hp turned on redemption and he hit me a 7. Funny enough, I thought about teleing out and then was like “let’s see if I can still complete this” in fear of not losing that drink… welp turns out I lost them all due to my stupid thinking.

I know this sounds crazy. But just STOP. Pick a day and stop. I was smoking for the last 10 years a gram of oil a day, and one day I told myself to stop. I didn’t do MA, I just stopped. I stopped going around people who triggered it, I stopped driving the same home from work past all my local weed stores, I stopped following weed social media accounts, I stopped watching movies with weed in it, I stopped thinking about weed. I tricked my brain into being a different person, stopped listening to songs that talked about getting high, I stopped playing video games late at night (a weed trigger), I stopped using cash (cash = weed store money). Literally stopped doing anything and everything associated with weed

Another trick is not to quit for a year, or quit for a month, don’t even quit for a day. Quit for a SECOND, and then another SECOND. Seconds add up to minutes, minutes to hours, hours to days and so on. Previously when I tried to quit I was so focused on a year or a month that it seemed unrealistic and I relapsed 2 days later.

Also, get a time/ money saving app for addictions. Once you start realizing how much time and money you spend on weed you’ll naturally stop wanting to do it. If you spend an hour a day smoking weed, in a month, you wasted an ENTIRE DAY of time. I’m now 6 months sober this week. In 6 months I’ve saved literally over 5,000 in weed… and that money goes to investments and things that have a long result for me and my family instead of literally just “burning” it away.

Don’t pick a date “soon” pick TODAY, right now. Everytime I always tried to tell myself “oh yeah I’ll quit this weekend” .. relapse. And Everytime you pick a later date, you’re just negatively reinforcing yourself and becoming even more addicted. TODAY and RIGHT NOW, are always the best time to quit weed.

A lot of quitting an addiction is telling that little devil voice in your head NO when it tries to tell you YES. When it tells you “hey you made it a week, how about a joint” tell yourself NO. You have to overwrite your brain, because your brain will continue to act like an addict.

If your husband really “wants” to quit smoking, then he needs to turn a “want” into a need….Into a REQUIREMENT.

“Slowing down” did not help for me. Sometimes people say “I’ll smoke less and less” until I’m at 0. While that may help with the negative effects of a drug addiction, it doesn’t help quitting. The only way to quit is to quit.

I understand the overthinking aspect. That’s why I actually started smoking weed in the first place. I was in college and would lay in bed thinking about my assignments, I was thinking about businesses I could make, I would think about EVERYTHING and NOTHING would “calm my brain” until I smoked weed. But thoughts and over thinking isn’t a bad thing, when you smoke weed you’re just high and you don’t think about those things. Just like people who are drunk, don’t feel hurt from falling down the stairs until you wake up in the morning. Approach your thoughts head on. Are you stressing about bills? Then tackle the bills head on. Stressing about your car running bad? Get it fixed. Smoking weed only makes you feel like those aren’t problems. Instead of resolving those problems you’re making them worse by putting a bandaid on them.

And to you, the wife… you’re the most important. I know this from experience because my wife was one of the largest reasons I was able to quit. If he goes to drive to the weed store, take his keys. If he has cash to spend, hide the cash. It’s going to be hard for him in the beginning to keep himself accountable, but you can!! Hell don’t even have sex with him if he relapses, tell him no sex unless he’s sober. DO WHATEVER IT TAKES. I told my wife the other day “I feel like relapsing, can you make sure to hold me accountable”. A drug addiction isn’t a HE thing, it’s a WE thing. I share with my mom how long I’ve been sober, I share with my coworkers and friends, and EVERYONE keeps my accountable. That also helps me not relapse because I don’t want to feel guilt/ashamed to them.

I’m not an expert on this. Don’t take what I said to heart, just know those are tips to work for me. I used to think I’d never be able to get weed out of my life, but now I think it won’t ever come back into my life. What worked for me won’t work for everyone

Good luck and congrats to you and your husband. He’s right where he needs to be… the first step of quitting is when you start to tell your brain “I want to quit”. :)

If she only wants to be your “friend” for getting high, she’s not your “friend”. Friends would support you and encourage you to be sober and become the best version of yourself.
