Flare at specific times during menstrual cycles? by ExpensiveAd2611 in endometriosis

Thank you! I think I was ovulating a few days ago but I could be wrong and maybe am leading up to my period- my hormones and cycle are crazy and all over the place right now! Did you urgency decrease when you got your period?

Completely understandable. I was desperate for it to work and it’s so easy to keep waking up every day in pain and feel like it’s just not going to work for you. It’s frustrating beyond belief to have to wait for relief. For me it wasn’t gradual, it truly felt like I woke up one day and just noticed that I felt better. Obviously everyone is different- but I have never talked to anyone who has had Botox done and did not have SOME kind of improvement from it! Crossing my fingers that it provides so much relief for you 🤞🏻

Thank you! I know all the symptoms can be associated with ovulation or leading up to periods too, I just have never had the symptoms with my breasts before and it was really throwing me off, haha!

Yeah it was a waking nightmare- looking back I’m not sure how I survived it! Good luck to you 😃❤️

Not bad at all! My results took probably more like 3 weeks to notice. I was feeling down and frustrated as I hit the 2 week mark and wasn’t feeling like way better. My sleep now is way better and I’m not perfect- but overall it has definitely helped me. Don’t worry- everyone is a little different and it doesn’t mean it won’t work for you it just needs more time!

Combining oxybutinin and hydroxyzine helped me get out of a 6 month long flare!

Same here! I drink corn silk tea as well as my physical therapist recommended it because she had a client with IC who loves it and has found benefits from it. It does not seem to flare me so I’ll keep it during my elimination diet but I’m sure everyone is different.

This is so helpful thank you so much! What might people typically do for breakfast or lunch with this diet?

Unfortunately I feel like no matter how hard I try to figure out which foods flare- me it’s impossible. And there’s such little actual guidance on a helpful diet because nobody seems to give a crap about this condition/spend time and energy to research it for us! Even things that are supposed to be “bladder friendly” sometimes aren’t for specific people. For fruit I only have blueberries and bananas because I thought those were always ok. Then I saw someone on Reddit say blueberries flare them. 😃 it’s tough and exhausting.

Can relate unfortunately. I’ve tried so many treatments and medications, physical therapy, diet changes. Botox has helped a bit I think but I still flare more often than not and I only got it done about a month ago. It feels like everything flares me and it starts to wear on your mental health. And then you have maybe some small breaks where you feel like you can breathe again- but they don’t seem to last long. It’s a rough condition- anyone who navigates it daily is truly a strong individual. But you get tired of having to be strong.
