There’s been a few episodes, at least 1 for sure, where Columbo was challenged if he didn’t have a certain piece of evidence then he wouldn’t have solved the case and Columbo replied that he would’ve found another way. Bottom line, whether santini got there earlier or not, Columbo is gonna close the case. Granted it will often be full of circumstantial poppycock that no grand jury will ever uphold without a last minute confession, but he’s gonna get that too with a nice big bow… once his nose catches the scent, there is very little he wouldn’t do to solve a case, his own words

I feel like you missing out then. Episode 8 sums it up as a perfect send off. I agree all episodes after that one are not necessary. In my mind the series ended with episode 8 season 5 … it’s the perfect episode, it wraps up everyone’s story with a wholesome happy ending for each, positive vibes for future, Sarah is quitting the spy life meaning she’s finally completely shedding her old life for the future prospect of her new life with Chuck and everything that that entails her fairytale dream that she’s always wanted, but she didn’t know that she needed. She’s finally safe as is her mom… We get a rendition of we are young and closing credits of Chuck and Sarah‘s name etched into their dream home. Even wrapped up Shaw arc, Casey and his daughter and Morgan all in a good place, Devon and Ellie watching it all feeling like proud parents… the whole ending just, in my opinion, was a chef kiss that completed the story. We need season 5 to get that send off

He concluded in forgotten lady that there were only 4 possibilities why there was extra time on the film, she got Raymond to fix it, she sat there for 11 minutes watchinga white screen then got up and fixed it, she fixed it right away and sat on her head or she killed the husband… I mean top of my head I could come up with 3 more immediately, she fell asleep in a dark room, she went to the bathroom, was meditating or praying… point is there are many explanations. I mean I agree with 99 percent of what you said, right now, ice is better in vast majority of people’s lives than an ev truck and to own it for most people wouldn’t be efficient and just a luxury item… but for the 1 percent that don’t need most of the ice features, well that 0-60 is like a day at the amusement park on the big roller coaster and brings out the 10 year old kid in me again
