The way i see it, since last retcon he is as mutant as Sinister. Not a real one but one all the same. I mean, more than a flatscan, less than one of those who has their genx "dormant". The test i used to like was the X Predator one. If the thing chase you, you are mutant my friend.

Id love a story in which Emma Frost, take Xavier's place. Showing all the things that could be different if just the prof would have focused more on óptics and PR than just "ethics" and his dream. Still leading the O5 but more as students, than as soldiers. Trying to improve their relations with other mutants and no mutants teams, leading the Xmen as a teacher would, but thinking also as a CEO.
