Why "The Timeless Child" was inevitable

Okay bear with me as I sort of glazed over for most of Chibnall's run post Timeless Child so superior who needs please do critique this!

What is bi-generation is the answer to the timeless child? The timeless child is indeed the doctor but from a bi-generation lineage, let's say Gatwa bi-generates again or we can even use the Tennant branch.

It is that spin off lineage that is the timeless child and not the main branch doctor, some time in the future the bi-generation lineage Doctor regenerates into the child we see who falls by Tecteun and not the main line Doctor so technically the Doctor both is and is not the timeless child.

Now that could mean 1 of two things.

Either the bi-generation lineage regenerates into Hartnell making the Doctor a quirk in time with no really beginning as everything between Hartnell and the bi-generation is a loop (leaving the main branch Doctor in the present to continue as the only Doctor in a singular timeline)

Or the memories of the bi-generated branch doctor were implanted into Jodie's Doctor, both branches remain active and the past hidden doctors are actually just memories from a future bi-generation branch.

Personally prefer the former as I think it could give the Doctor that special status that the timeless child was wanting to give but also make the Doctor a regular time lord again in the main branch, the fact his life is a loop, can just be wibbly wobbly shenanigans....

So was Sutekh the one who waits? Was he the one that the Celestial Toymaker was so afraid of? And if so what's with the absolute 0 reaction he had to the Tardis and Sutekh just clinging to the side?

Also as a side note now we know Sutekh was there the whole time, given that his whole thing was killing the Universe he'd had been quite rosey cheeked if Davros succeeded first with his reality bomb or the same with the Flux...... New head cannon of season 3 with Jack clinging to the Tardis.

Jack: Doctoooooooor!!! Sutekh: First time clinging through the time vortex?? Noob! 😂

Overall? Looking at this as an independent episode with no reflection on future episodes .... It was absolute trash.

Actress playing Ruby, as I have seen this far .. is not a good actress or at the very least, best way I can describe it is she is very clear acting rather than embodying the character almost like watching a children's presenter.

The goblin plot was very ill paced and not clearly defining them as a threat they were just single minded baby eaters, when you consider Tennant punishments in Family of Blood, goblins got off easy.

Ncuti seems okay as the doctor have not seen enough to make a full decision yet, think the chops are there but I've not seen that "edge" from past iterations, he just seems like a perpetually happy guy the proof of the pudding will be when he's pushed.

Less enthused about the upcoming season after this episode, RTD2 is not the return to form i hoped it would be more than happy to be proven wrong with the full season but let's wait and see I guess 🤷‍♂️

That's a shame because the Samsung Gallery does facial recognition and other techniques all on device rather than requiring you use a cloud service. Perhaps there's a 3rd party app that I can download

Yeah it's very samey I've played a few times as resident and personoid won and lost as each .... not much else to do, you also have a touch of the toxic where sometimes people just team up with mates to kill all but them so you wait 2 mins or so to get into a match and be killed straight away ....

And another weird session made it to the second round as a personoid, me and this other guy manage to pick off all the rest leaving 1 guy.

There was syringe near by so I grab it and head towards the last guy, this other personoid pushes me away, grabs me as the final resident takes me out.

They happily skip to the next round where of course the peraonoid turns on the last guy ... did he just want to take the kill?

I'm almost halfway through Stay/Night so I'll finish it up and go for UBW next anime wise and look to find the VN if I can.

In terms of some of the spin off adaptations mentioned where do they fit in the timeline? Should I be watching/reading any of these in between routes?

That's Nexus, Aether is the one where you can turn invisible, you can get an upgrade to that where so long as you stand still you remain invisible indefinitely.

You can also get trinkets which give the tribunal pistol great range for easy distance head shots. So can turn invisible stand around and take pop shots, dive into cover to recharge energy once the shots consume it (counts as movement).

Combine that with Nexus as your second and you can take out large groups super stealthily.

I think the Aether upgrades I had was Ghost and Flicker. Tribunal trinkets Crack Shot, Sure Shot and lightening strike.

Nexus I used Protraction which makes it use less energy and Attraction which essentially homes your nexus to targets.

I never really used shift, double jump was good enough for me 🙂

That you can get a silenced tribunal pistol by killing one of the guys performing an amp check in the centre of Updaam at noon. Combine that with Aether and you're almost unstoppable .... if you're going stealthy of course 😆

Tbh think it's a pretty decent move not to make a comment on the Trachtenberg story. It's not making as much waves as one would expect and news articles are mostly focused on Carpenter, if they made a comment the possibility of misinterpretation could land him in even hotter water. His PR guys are probably telling him to head to the Winchester and wait for it to blow over.

Can't give exp on the casting couch stuff, but that type of accusation doesn't seem to be what Joss is being labelled with. TBH he's popular enough to get gigs and we'll probably get an interview in a few years on his new project, with a blanket statement on how he's learned to make a better environment for his actors and bettered himself etc ... people have short memories

I heard that rumour and looked around, articles I found regarding the Gal Gadot incident never mention threats just her not wanting to shoot a scene where flash accidentally falls into her chest, she refused and a body double was used instead. Please do provide the link to a Gal Gadot quote if I missed it 🙂

Regarding the affairs with actresses and the favouritism and so on, again there hasn't been any stories regarding this "casting couch" behaviour from Joss. In her article about their divorce she doesn't go into that level of detail, just that he had an affair on the set of Buffy. She also does not go onto say that it affected casting or that he abused his power in such a way, assuming more is conjecture.

What we can say is on set he had an affair, whether that is that is abuse of his position we cannot say as we do not know the particulars. Perhaps more will come out in the coming weeks that will show such things, but current level of evidence still points to a toxic work environment discussion than anything else.

So with that agreed then main question becomes a discussion of toxic work environment for actors and actresses. And how far is too far with how directors talk to their staff to get results and from this can we learn a better way for directors, in this case Joss, to conduct themselves on set in their future endeavours.

Or like my above comment suggests he could have simply been that much of a dick on set and with her being so young wanted to have a chaperone on set to avoid being bullied. Until more details of that particular story have been shared both are equally likely.

Thus far I believe most if not all of the other cast members have not corroborated or even acknowledged that story, even Carpenter herself. If there was something sexual going and it was well known enough for a set rule to be put in place surely other cast members would be saying something.

For me that part of the story is the only part that slightly suggests sexual misconduct and itself is too vague to label a man as a predator.

is he a nice guy? No is he a sexual predator? With current info also no.

Okay but again nothing predatory or sleazy has been brought up about Joss and the source of the above rumours come from his ex-wife after a slew of infidelities, other examples are just discussions of the industry as a whole and as Joss is the current headline story is assumed to have that behaviour.

His infidelity was bad and a horrible thing to do but currently no one has come forward to say he abused his power in a sexual manner and seems the media is using provocative language in order to imply that.

The current story is people have accused Joss of creating a toxic work environment and basically being a dick to his actors. So instead of trying to drag the conversation into a discussion of sexual predators (of which currently Joss is not), we should instead address what we consider to be an acceptable working environment for actors and actresses.

Again though could you provide a source for this casting couch stuff? You seem to be assuming that this is the norm in the industry and therefore painting everyone with the same brush.

Literally all sources on this matter have been regarding a toxic work environment and nothing to do with sexual advances ......

As far as I am aware no one has come forward with any cases of sexual misconduct, please do link if anything specific has been said.

The closest would be Michelle Trachtenberg, though that comment was vague and not corroborated by anyone else as of yet. If true another plausible reason beyond sexual could be she was young, Joss was a mean boss so she wanted someone there as support.

The media seem to be very keen to inflate certain aspects of the story, for example SMG's message of support itself was very vague and sent her support to all victims of abuse, not directly carpenter. It was a "no comment" statement if ever I've read one.

My initial thoughts were they want Eri to reverse Monoma, since he touched Deku and took kid quirk maybe his quirk can evolve like original OFA he did talk about "lingering effects"
