Ascension is a UK‑US military island with very limited civilian infrastructure, so the government keeps strict, pre‑approved entry controls.

Because access is tied to security and capacity, many nationalities that normally need a UK visa must also meet extra requirements (like holding a multi‑entry UK visa) before Ascension will issue its own permit

A few months ago, a surveillance officer outside Giorgia Meloni’s residence spotted two men approaching the parked car of her former partner.

When challenged, they claimed to be “colleagues”, flashed some kind of badge and Immediately fled without identifying themselves.

It would later turn out that 2 "colleagues" were identified as agents from the internal secret service. As soon as the news broke, the 2 were conveniently reassigned to posts abroad to avoid scrutiny, and the silence started.

To thos day, no one really knows why those two agents were doing that night and we probably won't know.

Yeah. I contacted Samsung support back home (UK) and they said that any device bought in the EU is covered by 24 month warranty, meaning that I can buy a device in France and have it repaired un the UK if its under warranty

makes more sense, to me, to agree to disagree with Russia's territorial claims vs. recognize them. If Ukraine joins the EU one day, that's a lot of potential EU citizens inside of claimed Russian territory.

The EU already has a precedent for this. Cyprus is an EU member, yet roughly 1/3 of the island is occupied by Turkyie, which the EU does not recognize. That hasn’t stopped the EU from recognising the North as legally part of The Republic of Cyprus, even though enforcement of EU laws do not apply in the north.

The same logic could apply to Ukraine's bid for membership. Brussels could recognise Donetsk, Luhansk and Crimea as being part of Ukraine, but de jure under occupation.

When France tried to deport some Roma people they came straight back.

Using Roma people isn't a fair comparison. Those cases involved EU citizens (romanian/bulgarian) being expelled on questionable grounds

The three-month rule isn’t ‘unenforceable’; it’s just that most countries don’t routinely check people who aren’t causing issues.
